I'm looking for a highly reliable, low-cost web hoster... also domain name buyer whatever. Anyone know of any?

MPI is free.
Go Daddy is actually one of the worst pay services. I don't know why so many people recommend it. If you do a search, you'll find a ton of webmasters complaining about it.
If you have your mind set on paying, there are many that are better than Go Daddy.

Maybe take a browse at this? (http://www.besthostratings.com/) It's has a box where it'll give you a list of web hosting services that meet your your preferences.
And PC mag has reviews here (http://www.pcmag.com/category2/0,1738,2269,00.asp).

And? I'm guessing that's what RNK's site will have to do with.

I don't believe MPI offers domains, though it's easy to get a domain somewhere else and host it with MPI.
Godaddy is so-so. I made the mistake of using it even though I was warned against it. It may look cheap, but they like to add on a lot of extra fees and services. For instance, you have to pay them to park your domain page with ads. Basically they are making money off your subscription to the domain parking service and they are making money off the ads. It's ridiculous, especially when they are plenty of free domain parkers tat give you a higher % of the ad revenue anyways. Godaddy can work for some people, but for others it's a mess.

Right..
You can buy a domain for $6 and then host the site on MPI.
