If there was a revolution. How nasty do you think they would be this time? I mean, if you look around the world at the failed Communist countries, and also the trouble it caused for 50 years (cold war) it makes you think that if there was a communist revolution, they are gonna wonna nip it in the hard an fast ;) Do you think the cappies have learnt their lesson?

Do people think that it would be a mass grave scenario. Kidnapping our families? Bombs? How far do you think they would go? Would they rather use nuclear weapons than let the reds come back?

I'm scared!

The Americans would probably do exactly what they did to the Cubans. They certainly don't seem to regret their childish embargo and other cowardly attempts to destroy Cuba's socialism. That is why we must stand up to American imperialism if we want to liberate the working class from capitalism.

The common petty-bourgeois American citizen won't really do anything. I mean, we've seen the childish lengths they go to.

The French boycott is a hilarious example of their stupidity.

What we need is a revolution is some smallarse island somewhere that Dubya couldn't find on a map.

You know, like Mayotte or somewhere. I know the neccessary phrases in French

"Vive la revolution!"
"Liberté, egalité, fraternité"

and so on.

Or perhaps Pitcairn Island. There's only 50 people there. You could probably execute all the ones that tried to resist with one AK-47 clip.

Two words:

Truman Doctrine.

Containment to the utmost extreme. The President is obviously insane, and would go to any measures to destroy the revolution immediatly. They have already shown this by supporting fascists over democratic leaders because of a socialistic leaning stance. Look at Chile.

Well, they are not "nice people", so yes, they will do anything they can to stay in power and stop revolution.

The key phrase there is anything they can.

In revolutionary situations, they are not able to do everything they would like to do.

Imagine, for example, what the world-wide reaction would be to the use of a nuclear weapon against a revolutionary country by the U.S.?

The same thing applies to any other measure that they would certainly "like" to take; they have to gauge the reaction of both their immediate enemies and of all who might become their enemies as a result of a particular action.

But if you determine your own actions based on your fear of what they might do, then you effectively paralyze yourself. Whatever you do against their interests, they're not going to give you a big wet kiss. They're going to be pissed and they will try to counter-attack you in some way.

The strategic problem is always the same, though the details vary widely: how to attack them where they are too weak to retaliate successfully; how to avoid them where they are too strong to directly confront for the time being.

The capitalist class are not gods, though they may possess weapons of divine destruction. They can't be everywhere at once; they can't watch everyone at once; they can't stop resistance everywhere at once. They can't nuke the whole planet, nor can they imprison 7,000,000,000 people. However powerful they may seem to be, they are not omnipotent.

And therefore, in the end, they will lose.

Oh no, not another trigger-happy Comrade. This is revolution we're supposed to be talking about, not Counterstrike.

I wasn't serious. :)

Besides, I'm in favour of democratically elected communism over revolution. I mean, you could probably talk the Pitcairners into it. You know; you could promise to revive their slowly dying country, attract back some emigrants (over 2/3s of the population has emigrated to NZ...the wankaz)

What would the bourgeoise do in fear of revolution? theyd try and crush us, meaning we need the massses behind us to progress. Nothing less than the masses, and all power to them!
