Today I read in a history book that Brezhnev had a collection of about 40 imported limo's.
True or not?

According to Wikipedia, yes. Brezhnev presided over the period that was simultaneously the greatest economic stagnation and had the highest amount of corruption in the history of the Soviet Union.

Brezhnev was well known for his love of opulence.
He lived in quite a degree of luxuary

I read somewhere once that Nixon presented him with a Limo with a bug included and it was some time before the KGB discovered it.

Yeah.
He was also presented the Order of Lenin and Hero of Soviet Union for no reason.

Maybe things were better when the eyebrows were lower.

totally false and made up; and you're not too bright to believe the useful-to-the-west-wikility of a website where anyone can claim what they want to be true.

Sounds funny.
About this whole thing, it's possible but I want some proof other than western bourgeoisie sources.

He was also presented the ... Hero of Soviet Union for no reason.
Four times in fact, along with about 100 other medals; part of one of the more abjectly pathetic personality cults in history.

bourgeoisie sources
What do you mean bourgeois sources? Are you reading books that are authored by people who are capitalists, i.e. owners of the production?

I don't know about the limo collection, but as the head of a privileged bureaucratic stratum, it is a fact that he indeed had a good deal of "perks." I don't know about Brezhnev, but I do know that Gorbachev's wife had all kinds of expensive dresses and jewelry.

Sorry, I usually can do better than Wikipedia. But Brezhnev is such an easy target that it just wasn't worth pulling out the big guns. I'm surprised that a Stalinist such as yourself is out there defending him, though.

Well it was from a bourgeois source. It was from a lecture I downloaded by a guy called Gary Hamburg who was an anti communist in my opinion. However does this mean it is necessarily wrong?

No but you must consider your source. Like I said, it's something believable.

 But oh please, it was the mans birthday after all!
I am not sure whether Brezhnev had lots of limos, it does sound a bit speculative although it is possible and I wouldn't be surprised. I would assume that he lived in quite a luxury anyway.

One was for his "wartime services" but he certainly wasn't the only general secretary to be lavished with medals for ceremonial reasons.

not to defend brezhnev whom i believe to be a straight ****, but state leaders used to give each other gifts and so... so it is well possible that part of these luxuries were presents...
