I had never heard of Guevaraism until I resently read a biography on Che.

In the biography it had a section on Che's impact on the rest of the world following his death. e.g. how he's become an icon of freedom etc.

It also included information on many political movements set up in his name which called themselves Guevaraist.

If such a thing still exists then could someone please inform me of the beliefs of this movement. Is it closer to socialism or communism? I belive that Che was more extreme than Castro in his beliefs which leads me to belive he was more of a communist than a socialist but i would just like clarification on this fact.

Also any links to websites of Guevaraist parties would be thankfully recived.

Anyone can have their own "ism".

Che Guevara definately has his own "ism".

Having an "ism", however, doesnt mean there will be parties whose ideology refelcts it.

I believe 'Guevaraism' is just his ideals. In general, maybe someone of is willing to die for a cause.

Nothing to ideological about it if you ask me.

Well Che certainly has inspired many Leftist movements/revolutions.

Probably every Latin American revolution group with ties to the left was inspired by Che and/or Mao. Zapatistas, Sandanistas, Shining Path, etc etc.
