Why exactly do people have the tendencies to have a stronger right hand then left, and vice-versa? And why are the majority of people right-handed?

Is there any study, or answer, to this?

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking 10-15% of people are left-handed, and it's mostly a genetic thing but is not incredibly difficult to reverse preferences by limiting use of the dominant hand.

For kicks, the Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedne...left-handedness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedness#Causes_of_left-handedness)

Just what I thought, really, a random genetic pattern or something of that sort. You usually can't change your genes, though, so it's a bit strange. I dunno, I suppose it's not the most important topic on earth, but many thanks for the info :D
