Hey, you might know me from PoFo or maybe Soivet Empire. I've been posting on Pofo for quite a few months now and began posting on S-E a few weeks ago. I love both of those fourms alot but they both lack one thing: the feeling of actuly belonging to a revolutionary group. Im hoping revleft can give me that.

Let me tell you a bit about myself: I'm almost 15 and have been indulging in politics since thefor years now. I started out as a know-nothing anarchist, but about a year ago became interested in communism. This is a deep secret of mine, due to belonging to a far-right family(the only thing we can seem to agree on is gun rights). I recently began to call myself a Marxist-Leninist after reading a few of his works online. And a few weeks ago i began to call my self a Maoist after only reading as much as i could find about him on the internet. I'm not sure where i stand between Marxism-Leninism or Maoism but im hoping this sight will help me find my niche.

I truly want to to join the Revolutionary Communist Party of the United States of America, but have been a bit turned off by the personality cult they have around their "Chairman Bob". They also seem to lack activness around my area...BTW i live in the San Fransico bay area.

As far as other interests go i love Music, i really enjoy bands such as System of a Down, Lamb of God and Rage Against the Machine and dozens of other bands that fall inbetween.

I hope i'll fit in and get the feeling of union im looking for thanks ahead.

Welcome!

Do you support Stalin? I'm basing that by the forum you post on being known as the Soviet Empire.

I'm an avid Lamb of God fan as well.

Well, as long as you post like you got a head on your shoulders, we're pretty damn accepting people.

I too am quite new, but this forum is just great.

I hope you find that unity with us that you didn't with other forums.

:D

As for supporting Stalin..well the jury is still out their...In some ways i do, in others i don't. But it is hard to tell what actuly happend in the Soivet Union, because it is impossible to sift through all of the propoganda left by the last generation. We have to base our opinions of Stalin on his works. And unfortunutly i have not read his works.

Also my first post is a bit misleading. I'm waging a war in my head on weather or not im a Marxist-Leninist or a Maoist...

Hey,
What d'you know... I'm in San Francisco too, and 15 (soon to be 16). I also sympathize with the your family situation. My family isn't far-right, but they ain't communists either.

I think there are some RCP members in the area. Personally, though, I'm not involved with the RCP (partly for the same reasons you aren't). If you're looking for a communist organization with members in the Bay Area, you should check out the Communist League (http://comleague.org). That's one of the groups I'm part of, and we have a couple members in the Bay Area.

Finally, Maoism is a branch of Marxism-Leninism, but if I were you I'd make sure I was really sure of my beliefs and what the different "isms" stand for before labeling myself. Otherwise, you could end up like a lot of comrades -- constantly changing your "ism" as you learn more and more.

Labels aren't all that important, just take what you truly believe and run with it.
But if your beliefs reflect something rather perfectly (i.e. my beliefs were Anarchist Communist before I knew what that was, I've always thought in that way) then call yourself that.

Well, I do not support Stalin. Nor do many posters here. Despite the goods he did for Russia, thousands of people died under him, of many countries. Therefore, I cannot view him as an idol or Revolutionary Hero.

Perhaps its all just propoganda and he'd never harmed a fly, my position stands, as far as I know.
