What find interesting, is that this happened when our supposedly, nice and woolly,
Liberal party was last in power.

Yes, the crimes of the Western powers seem to go overlooked in that era, attention was more focused on Italian, Japanese, and German imperialism rather than French, English, and American attacks.

Oh yes, Churchill was much worse then Saddam.

I actually used that little tid-bit about him gassing the kurds in a pamphlet while trying to get a statue of the fucker torn down in Edmonton last year.

Winston churchill was a white supremist, an un-repentant British chauvenist, a firm anti-communist and even a fascist sympathizer( he once congratulated Mussolini on "freeing his country from the bestial appetites of Leninism" and continued by saying that "had I been Italian, I would have supported you.").

I'd love to use that in an argument, do you have a source?

i know Churchill did support fascism when it benefited him like most reactionary leaders do. He sent aid to Franco during the Spanish civil war. And he was an avid anti-communist he was one of the last allied powers to declare support of the USSR “next to America”. As for him being a white-supremacist I have seen any evidence showing that. i wouldn't call him worse than Saddam though as Saddam was a fascist.

But anyway, I agree with you completely, Western war crimes are completely overlooked. People just don't want to see the evidence which doesn't support their own views.

Churchill was without doubt a racist, maybe not a fascist, but imperialists are capable of attrocities that can equal any fascist.
Bengal, the forgotton holocaust.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_famine_of_1943

Churchill repeatedly opposed food for India and specifically intervened to block provision of 10,000 tons of grain offered by Canada6. The U.S. declined to provide food aid in deference to the British Government6. The British Government rejected Lord Wavell's request for 1 million tons of grain in 1944 and also rejected his request that the U.S. and the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) be approached for assistance.

I've seen the quotes before by Churchill advocating the use of chemical weapons against "uncivilized tribes" in places like Iraq. But I've never seen anything describing the actual use of chemical weapons.

Does anyone have a source or info indicating they were in fact used?

There are enough hideous crimes of imperialism that it's not necessary to use examples which may not be fully accurate, or even just unprovable.

Thanks....OK, it does look solid, just not a lot of detail on it readily available.

Read Churchills Autobiography. His white supremacy/fascism becomes clear in his own words.
