Due to the rising tide of violence in the city, the governor and the mayor of Oakland have teamed up and the CHP will now be working alongside city police. Now, i'm not sure what exactly they hope to accomplish through a show of force, I don't feel safe with more cops around, quite the opposite. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone on revleft from the Oakland, CA area had any thoughts on this new "crime" crackdown. In the news article they mentioned the "drug problem" of....ecstasy????!!! Now I could only hope to walk down my street, see smiling faces and getting hugs (even though I have a dislike for etards I'd much rather be surrounded by people who want to touch my soft clothes than crack heads demanding change) but instead I see a crack hotel, mentally disturbed and addicted folks who aren't being taken care of and extreme poverty. My car was broken into recently and I can guarantee it wasn't some rave kid rolling on e. There's nowhere for our community to get proper food, the only place is a liquor store on the corner a few blocks down so nobody, unless they have a car to go across town, get's a proper diet. Does anyone in the area realize what a waste of time and money this whole campaign is when they aren't even pretending to fix the real problems and are continuing this drug witch hunt for pharmaceutical companies and others?
