That question would be difficult to answer without a clear definition of who exactly would be considered proletariat. Military demographics are based on income levels so the percentage could be anywhere from 90% to 95% according to this chart (http://www.heritage.org/Research/NationalSecurity/upload/cda05-08_t2.gif). The other branches are probably similar in composition as well.
