Its a French New Wave film by Jean Luc Godard about a guy whose a con man and basically worships Bogie, and ends up shooting a cop and being on the lam in Paris with an American girlfriend. Anyways, besides the over all style, it had alot to do with various existential problems and also femminism. The American chick is so independant and the Michel, the guy, is an extreme sexist. Its odd how it played out.

I was just about to start a topic, but saw this in a search. Although I prefered some of his other work, this is undoubtedly one of the most influential films ever, not for politics as such, but for cinema. Has anyone else seen this? And if so what did you make of it?

If nothing else, one of the best endings ever in my opinion, and one of the most attractive leads as well. The tensions existing between the characters is fantastic. It has a message, but it is subtle, and leaves the audience to do some of the construction.
