Instructions;
1)Go to your local Asda.
2)Buy the largest bottles of the cheapest veg cooking oil you can get.
3)Pour it into your tank.
see here. http://www.ravenfamily.org/andyg/vegoil.htm
This is better for the envoirenment, because the vegetable oil can only release the co2 that it took from the atmosphere whilst it was growing, hence no net increase in carbon levels.
However watch out for the Taxman or the 'frying squad'.

This is misleading. This does not make diesel fuel. This only works on certain engines, and with certain modifications. If you really want to do this buy an old Mercedes 300 SEL turbo diesel, buy a cheap SVO conversion kit for it, and you can then run it off straight veggie oil.

Yes but by mixing it with real derv, you can cut your fuel costs quite substantially, and with most modern diesels this is possible.

Yeh, I just read in my WIRED magazine about this. With certain types of Desil engines you can by a conversion kit for anywhere between 700 hundred bucks to 900 bucks.

P.S. I didn't pay for the magazine, I found a bunch of the codes for www.mycokerewards.com in a dumpster and registered them online for the free subscription.

Does this work well? I have heard that over a long period of time, some kind of sludge can develop in the engine. I don't know how to do this, but I think that something has to be filtered out (glycerin, I think.) to avoid this problem.

I am out of luck on this one, as my vehicle uses gasoline. :(

With older engines this works perfectly and you dont need a "conversion kit"*

But if you just bought a brand new car i wouldnt recommend it as the oil isnt heated up enough to be used properly and it takes lots of work to clean it out.

Does this work well?
My dad experimented with this and it works perfectly in some engines.The problem he found was that he couldnt get the oil in bulk and there was no quick way of getting it in the car.

The theory behind this is sound,the original "diesel" engines ran on peanut oil.
