Hey folks, it's me TheTickTockMan. I've joined this forum under the pretext of discussing revolution with my rather less pessimistic comrades.

About me:

I'm 19, male, live in Northern California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, and am a staunch leftist. I'm attending college, majoring in Atmospheric Science, and have done extensive independent research into the dynamics of climate change, specializing in dynamical feedback mechanisms.

In my spare time I hang out with my best friend, read Wikipedia, read lots of books about science and the environment, play computer games on occasion, write science fiction stories, read comic books and science fiction novels, chat with my online friends, and post here at RL.

Politically, I'd call myself some kind of communist, though I'm not well-read in terms of leftist rhetoric, as reading propagandistic tracts is not my idea of a good time. However, I'd rank my environmentalist leanings much higher than my leftist aspect -- a leftist Green, rather than the other way around.

Welcome. There’s definitely some good leftists resources that are very anti-propaganda. I would check out the The Mass Strike by Rosa Luxemburg and the Prison Notebooks by Antonio Gramsci.

What college are you attending? Seeing that you live in the same area as I do...
