Hey guys and girls of the left wing.

I need a hand with some stuff, after a long search (which inculded this site) I have failed to find good information about the Korean War from a Communist North Korean Perspective.

If any one could provide me with some links to help my search, it would be much appreasiated.

What exactly do you want to know? I mean, there isn't really a consistent "communist" perspective on the Korean War--not even from Korea itself. Communism in Korea, since the 1920s up through 1950 was extremely divided. There were four distinct communist camps in Korea, plus nationalists, liberals, and staunch conservatives on top of that. It would help to know what exactly you want to know.

We have discussed Korea before though:

I mainly need to know about the U.S's Role in the Korean War, their reasons for entering the battle and what they said to keep people from acting out against the U.S's participation in the Korean War.

Also I need motives of North Korea and China to fight against them.

Its not that I need to know about what happened in the Korean War its a case study for the Cold War i was asked to research, but most of the sources I have seen so far aren't very reliable to that of North Korea and mainly written by Americans.

I mainly need to know about the U.S's Role in the Korean War

Officially, the Korean War was a UN police action that was fought by 12 countries. However, it was the United States that was dominated the UN and really manipulated the body for its own purposes. Since the 1940s and 1950s, the United States's sway has significantly declined, but around 40,000 American troops remain on the peninsula guarding the DMZ.

their reasons for entering the battle

It was to defend the regime that was created with UN assistance in South Korea that was under attack from the North. Korea had been divided follow World War II by both the United States and the USSR. While there had been a trusteeship plan originally, this fell apart when the Cold War escalated and the US and USSR found themselves incapable of agreeing on policy. Eventually the US got fed up and handed the Korean Question over to the UN, who in turn created the ROK.

It was at this point the US apparently "wiped its hands" of the whole mess and made numerous statements saying that Korea wasn't in the US "defense perimeter," and also pulled out all of its troops. Meanwhile, scuffles in Korea escalated to the point of a civil war, resulting in the DPRK launching a military campaign against the ROK. The US changed its mind about how important Korea really was, and sent in a bunch of supplies and troops--even before the UN had given explicit permission for it to do so.

and what they said to keep people from acting out against the U.S's participation in the Korean War.

I'm not sure. As far as I know, the Korean War <s>was a relatively popular war</s> wasn't significantly unpopular and didn't have much opposition. It seemed clear to many Americans that the DPRK's use of force against the ROK was uncalled for, and many in the US wanted to stop the spread of communism in the Korean peninsula.

Also I need motives of North Korea and China to fight against them.

North Korea initiated the battle. There hope was to militarily unify the peninsula. Syngman Rhee of South Korea had similar goals prior to 1950, but the US had left the ROK with enough military supplies that made a South Korean invasion nearly impossible.

China entered the war because the United States didn't stop at the 38th parallel, and in turned tried to wipe out the DPRK, making the UN's ROK creation the sole governing body. China got freaked out that this would mean a US/UN friendly country on their border where invasions could be launched, and that the US may even try to wipe out the gains made by China in the Chinese Revolution during this period. It was largely a defensive reason that the PRC got involved.

So are you looking for a reading book list?
