Now, I know some people might say this doesn't deserve its own thread, well, to those people I say; fuck you.

Why? Because that is seriously the best song ever, there is just no question about it. If you don't agree with it, you suck, it's that simple.

Go listen to it if you haven't already (shame on you!), and if you have, listen to it again, over and over, until you fall asleep listening to it, then wake up listening to it, etc. etc.

That song is pretty amazing.

Its hard as hell to play on the guitar, but that might just be cause I still suck at guitar =]

I love listening to it, because its so weird...

Dazed and confused is a good one, but there's something that puts stair way to hevean over the top. However, I always found In the Evening better. Don't know why, just do.

Of course, but you don't get my point.

The point is that Stairway has everything the best song ever needs. It had (almost) all types of music combined into one. Slow guitar, to hard guitar, slow singing, to faster singing, country to folk to hard rock etc.

Dazed and Confused is a great (blues) rock song, but it doesn't have anything else. It can just be a song in one genre instead of spreading through various genres like Stairway.

If you only care about lyrics then Imagine is a great song (though still certainly not the greatest). But I care about lyrics, music, guitar solo's, drums etc. etc. and all of that combined makes Stairway the greatest song ever in my opinion.

It is generally agreed upon by me and several other people that Stairway is the greatest song ever.

Bod Dylan's stuff is the best for political lyrics. John Lennon would have had 100x more credibility if he wasnt such a hypocrite.

This song is excellent but I prefer 'No Quarter' and 'Kashmir'.

Thank you for posting this, i LOVE this song. One of my all time favs. I have memories of lying on a bed with a young lady and discussing what it was about a a close reletive to hers had overdosed from heroin recently. Really touched me and still does.

Jesus wish i could turn my speakers up more.....
