What are your opinions of their new album?
I like it, but it took me like three listens to get used to it. Most of it isn't as punky as Gypsy Punks, and its more worldy with more violin driven parts. The song writing structure is more unpredicatable than Gypsy Punks, and more intricate.
Some of the tracks you'll hear a dominate genre blended with other elements, for example "Your Country" is pretty funky, while "Forces of Victory" is kinda metal.
My favourite tracks are : Wonderlust King, Super Theory of Super Everything. My Strange Uncles and Harem is Tuscany.
Does anyone else think the beginning of My Strange Uncles sounds like a 90's dance club song?
I only listened to their first (i think) album called Voi-La Intruder. I really liked it, I love the sound of violin and accordion. My favorite songs were God-Like and Sex Spider. I might try to find their new album too.

For me, with that album it depends what mood I'm in with what songs I like.
Like if I'm feeling up I like Greencard Husband, Passport, Sacred Darling and Letter to Castro.
Mellow but contimplative I like Sex Spider, God-like, Shy Kind of Guy, Letter to my Mother.
On Gypsy Punks: underdog World-Strike they redo Start Wearing Purple and it's punky and louder and faster than the one on Voi-La Intruder.
I wish they would come here, I'm sure they are awesome live. They definately are one of my favourites and one of the few bands of today that I actualy like. Everything else seems to be a reproduction of someone else, ruined by commercialism or follows strict genre guidelines.

I haven't listened to this album yet, I will make sure to give it a whirl. I was a big fan of Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike.

Damn it all to hell. I guess I should learn not to be so judgemental. I just assumed from their name that they were some kind of black metal band, but because of this thread I just randomly downloaded a couple of their tracks. I actually had the chance to see them when I was at Coachella, and now I'm kicking myself for skipping them based on assumptions.

Eugene Hutz may be the single coolest person alive. Everyone wants to be him, or be with him. Or both.
I can't believe I missed them when they came here last year. Fuck fuck fuck.
My friend, "I probably shouldn't tell you that it was the single best concert I've ever been to." Thanks.

I love them and want them all inside me at the same time.
Thank you.

I've seen them live multiple times and it has always been absolutely amazing. Nothing like a rum-fueled international dance party with hundreds of other people... Last time I saw them, Eugene spun some records after the show and there was a party. Good times for all.

Even the scary old Russian violin player?
