Um I'd like to ask a question, what excatly is "thinking globally and acting locally"? I don't have a clue and it's not easy to work out, so I thought I'd come here, the fount of all knowledge!

Think about the whole world like polar ice caps melting, but act locally by not using deodorant or aerosols

i think it can mean more than that...

thinking globaly is not only a ecologist stance but also a political one...

it means internationalism... the plea to stop ignoring world wide problems, either poltiical or ecologist and help other peoples and ecossistems...

the acting localy means not only not using the aerosols but also consuming local products rather than foreing products...
it also goes a litle against the free market...

i think it is more like a socialist/ecologist sentence...

the typical CDU (Political allience of PCP, Portuguese communist party, and PEV, ecologist party the "greens") sentence i would say..
