PFLP arm wing statment: We will never lay down our arms
Issued by the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades
We will never lay down our arms and never stop our resistance so long as there is an occupation on our soil.

For many years our people's courageous resistance has been the target of a series of plots designed to destroy the will and determination of the resistance and the heroic resistance fighters.
In spite of that fact, the resistance has continued and escalated; it has grown more intense and vigorous thanks to the fact that the masses rally around it, regarding it as our people's only option for ridding themselves of the occupation and because it is the only way to defend our people against this arrogant enemy and its machinery of violent repression.

In such a context certain strange and despicable statements have appeared on the subject of laying down arms. There has been a lot of clamor about this and many explanations and elucidations have been advanced as to which arms exactly are to be laid down. We have warned against any encroachment on the arms of the resistance; they are sacred and may in no way be lumped together with the tools used by criminals, particularly since it is clear and obvious and our people know very well which weapons serve the goals of the resistance.

We in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades declare that we will continue on the path of resistance. We unequivocally refuse to lay down our arms so long as there is an occupation squatting on our soil. It is strange and despicable that Palestine television should a broadcast a totally false report on one of its news programs today in which it claimed that fighters for the Brigades had handed in their weapons. We denounce this poisonous report and declare that none of our fighters has so much as handed in one bullet. We also reaffirm our position of rejecting what has been called the "granting of amnesty to fugitives" firmly believing that this is one of the wretched attempts being made to split the unity of the esistance, the resistance fighters, and the sons and daughters of our one people, and because it is our conviction that the person who rises in resistance, who struggles and fights for freedom is not looking for any amnesty from the occupation.
We pledge to continue our resistance until the departure of the
enemy from our soil!

Victory to our people and their heroic resistance!

The Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

awesome thread, perhaps a good place to discuss their tactics as well. Of course the attacks on the Israeli armed forces are justified, should continue untill the occupation ends.

However

PFLP fire 2 "Somoud" rockets at Sedrot

I understand that the inhabitants of Sderot arent exactly great people, but isnt this attacking of what is for all intents and purposes a civilian target 1. a waste of resources which could otherwise be directed to attacking the actual occupation forces 2. bad propaganda (as in, it could scare off potential supporters of the palestinian struggle for freedom) 3. comparable in principle on at least some level with the firing of missiles into Gaza by the Israeli military, also justifying the latter to the outside world

NKOS, in my opnion, among the biggest misconsipitions towards the Palestinian struggle is the issue of its tactics. I mean, you would find people who claim to be extremely anti-imperialists and would 100% support the Native American, Algerian, Congolese, Angolan, Zimbabwen, Namibian, South African, Indonesian, Mouzambique, and all other native anti-colonial resistance, yet, when it comes to the Palestinian revolution, they seem to have a contradicitng stance.
no one can support the struggle of the people I mentioned before against colonialism, yet won't support the specific tactic you were talking about. All of the revolutions I mentioned above used almost the exact same tactics as the Palestinian revolution. A constant target for the South African resistance led by the ANC was colonizers' night clubs, restaurants, shoping centers, buses, bars, etc. The Algerian revolution was constantly also targeting colonizers' restaurants and night clubs. The Palestinian revolution targets those zionists, for the same reason the Algerian revolution targeted the French colonizers, or the Angolan revolution targted the Portugese colonizers. The Palestinian revolution targets those zionists not coz they "arent exactly great people", but, simply put, they are colonizers, occupiers, and thieves, and should be looked upon same way as the French in Algeria, Portugese in Angola, European in Rhodesia, European in South Africa, Belgique in Congo etc.
For your information, "Sedrot" is a zionist town built on the ruins of the Arab Palestinian village of Najd, occupied by the zionist colonizers in 1948.
Same way I would completely support Native American attacks against European colonizers, I would support Palestinian attacks against zionist colonizers. It's not like those zionists are innocent yet they are being targeted! it's wrong to make the anology with Iraq and demand the Palestinian revolution to only target the Zionist Army, same was as the Iraqis should only target the US army, not the US civlians in the US. If the US decided to make a colony out of Iraq and brought loads of US civilians from the US to live on Iraqi lands, homes, farms, properties, and villages, after they have ethnicly cleansed them, no rational person would dispute the right of the Iraqis to fight those colonizers.
Now of course I do realize Israel is the only colony to have survived until now (if you exclude US, Canda, New Zealand, and Australia), which makes the world have more misconseptions towards the Palestinian movment than the other anti-colonial struggles.

1. a waste of resources which could otherwise be directed to attacking the actual occupation forces

don't know about that. I wouldn't think of the ANC attacks on European colonizers as "waste of resources". The zionists are colonizers, occupying and stealing Palestinian lands, homes, and properties, they do at least as much harm as their military.

2. bad propaganda (as in, it could scare off potential supporters of the palestinian struggle for freedom)

you are right. But if you ask me, there is a lot of bad propaganda on the Palestinian side, not just the tactics, and some thing should be down about it. maybe explaining to the world were are the Palestinian coming from, why do they do such a thing, what is their motivation, what is their logic and rational behind this.

3. comparable in principle on at least some level with the firing of missiles into Gaza by the Israeli military, also justifying the latter to the outside world

The attacks by the zionist military on the Palestininas are attacks by the colonizer on the colonized, on the innocent civlians and natives whom got colonized. the attacks by the Palestinian revolution are attacks of the colonized on the colonizers, equal to the attacks of almost all other colonized masses against their opresser and colonizer.

NKOS, perhaps you're right. But then again, we have to defend legitimate actions of self-defence from an oppressed nation, no matter how much propaganda is thrown at them.

If the PFLP completely refrained from striking at "civilian" targets, it would not be vilified any less by the imperialist media.

Look, i support the palestinian freedom struggle, and all those other struggles you mentioned, yet i still oppose the targeting of civilians.

I do not know the exact make-up of the Sderot population (they're probably extremist zionist nutcases), and i get the reasoning behind it, however, thats a slippery slope you're treading.
Blowing up a civilian bus in Tel Aviv, would you support that as well?

You would be targeting fellow oppressed then, Israelis who are oppressed by the very same state the palestinians are oppressed by.

My plea against attacking civilian targets is a plea for limiting the war amongst the working class (both palestinian as well as israeli), because, in the end, the only way shit is truly going to end is if the palestinian and israeli working class unite against the common enemy; the Israeli state and the occupation.
Already you can see israelis marching against the apartheidwall, alongside arabs. That is a process which needs to be supported, not undermined by useless attacks on civilian targets (useless not only because they are morally wrong, but simply because it undermines the path to the destruction of the Israeli state and the establishment of one nation, hopefully socialist/communist/anarchist, for both israelis as well as arabs, which is the only justified outcome)

Same way I would completely support Native American attacks against European colonizers

So if a Sioux would blow himself up in a bus tomorrow somewhere in the US, you would support that?
That means that you just made at least half of this board a legitimite target.
Surely you can see the nonsense in that?
Now if that same Sioux blew himself in the white house, that is a completely different scenario.

don't know about that. I wouldn't think of the ANC attacks on European colonizers as "waste of resources". The zionists are colonizers, occupying and stealing Palestinian lands, homes, and properties, they do at least as much harm as their military.

If you destroy the military you can force out the colonizers and return the land to the families who once lived there.
So yes, targeting the colonizers is a waste of resources, its bad propaganda, and gives justification to the Israeli military to continue the occupation (however flawed their reasoning may be).

you are right. But if you ask me, there is a lot of bad propaganda on the Palestinian side, not just the tactics, and some thing should be down about it. maybe explaining to the world were are the Palestinian coming from, why do they do such a thing, what is their motivation, what is their logic and rational behind this.

Ofcourse, and that would be a hell of a lot easier if the palestinian resistance refrained from targeting civilians.

I agree, i did not say the two were the same. Point is, they do give justification to the Israelis to continue the occupation.

But then again, we have to defend legitimate actions of self-defence from an oppressed nation, no matter how much propaganda is thrown at them.

Ofcourse, but i dont think attacking civilian targets is legitimate (whether or not Sderot is a civilian target, is to be debated, but certainly attacks like those we have seen in the past in Tel Aviv and other large population centers are. The problem is that if you accept Sderot as a valid target, for which i can see some valid arguments, that it puts you on a path to seeing Tel Aviv etc as valid targets as well ["All Israelis are colonists!"]... and well, since there is really no gain to be had in attacking Sderot, why do so? it only brings you bad press, justifies the actions of your enemy to the outside world, and is a waste of resources).

If the PFLP completely refrained from striking at "civilian" targets, it would not be vilified any less by the imperialist media.

In any other situation i would agree, but not when it comes to the Palestinian freedom struggle.
There's a clear rift in the imperialist media, some do support Israel at every turn, some however are far more critical.
Also, if there arent any pictures to be made of corpses of men, women and children strewn accross the streets of Tel Aviv, Sderot, whatever, then they can hardly show those now can they? By refraining from attacking civilian targets, you limit the amunition of the pro-Israeli imperialist media.

In short, by attacking "civilian"/civilian targets, you only provide your enemy with extra propaganda material.. and that isnt exactly a smart thing to do, especially since attacking those targets serves no strategical purpose whatsoever (its not like the inhabitants will leave Sderot until the Israeli military can actually no longer protect them and "their" land).

Revolution Until Victory

Look, i support the palestinian freedom struggle, and all those other struggles you mentioned, yet i still oppose the targeting of civilians.

the Palestinians are targeting colonizers not "civlians". if you consider the zionists "civilians" then you would consider almost all other colonizers civlians too, and thus, would be opposed to the resistance of the natives againts colonialism in Algeria, South Africa, Rhodesia, etc.

I do not know the exact make-up of the Sderot population (they're probably extremist zionist nutcases), and i get the reasoning behind it, however, thats a slippery slope you're treading.
Blowing up a civilian bus in Tel Aviv, would you support that as well?

you see, I don't care if they "extremist zionist nutcases". this is totally irrelivant. after all, I wouldn't got kill someone coz simply he/she is extremist or not. Those are not attacked coz of thier political view, rather, thier colonial actions, like all other colonizers before. the statitcs are very clear, all of Sedrot is built on the Najd land, stolen lands = colonizers.
According to the offical documents, the zionists legally own around 5.8% of the entire area of Palestine. Those zionists living on legally purchased lands and homes are innocent. those that are not, are colonizers. I would support any attacks against colonizers, from Algerai to South Africa to Angola to Palestine.

So if a Sioux would blow himself up in a bus tomorrow somewhere in the US, you would support that?

lol, no, you misunderstood me. I meant to say I SUPPORTED the native resistance against the European colonizers, HUNDREDS of years ago, when there were still clashes between the colonizers and the natives. now, the situation is much different.

That means that you just made at least half of this board a legitimite target.

NO!!!!! again, I don't mean TODAY, NOW.

If you destroy the military you can force out the colonizers and return the land to the families who once lived there.

but that's a minor detail. it's a matter of which is easier: targeting the military and forcing it to leave, or targeting the colonizers and forcing them to leave.
some might argue that attacks on colonizers will scare them and force to to leave the lands and properties they occupy. same as happned in the Angolan revolution against Portugese colonization for example.

whether or not Sderot is a civilian target, is to be debated

there is no debate on this. Sedrot is built on the stolen lands, homes, farms, and properties of the Palestinians. the residents of Sedrot are theives and colonizers.
the only innconets in the zionist settler-colony are:

1- minors and children under 18 who are not responsible for their colonial actions

2- zionists who don't live on stolen homes and lands (only 5.8% of Palestine is legally purchased by zionists)

but certainly attacks like those we have seen in the past in Tel Aviv and other large population centers are

how? reffer to the 2 points I gave right above this.

["All Israelis are colonists!"

sure, except for minors and those who don't live on stolen lands and properties.

and well, since there is really no gain to be had in attacking Sderot,

there is.

especially since attacking those targets serves no strategical purpose whatsoever (its not like the inhabitants will leave Sderot until the Israeli military can actually no longer protect them and "their" land).

NKOS, obviously, you haven't been following the news. Sedrot today is a ghost town, thousadns are fleeing it, and school (before the summer break started) have been suspended and moved outside of Sedrot. So that's exaclty what's happening: the colonizers are leaving Sedrot!

It's sad when murderous Israelis move children into illegally occupied land, and it's those supplanted by this heinous act who are blamed for putting them in harms way.

Unfortunately, Israel can't be allowed to colonize Palestine simply because they choose to use woman and children as human shields in their settlements. Perhaps you'd prefer Palestinians simply picket outside the fences -- which they do, and are shot at with tear gas, flash bombs, rubber pellets and, very often, live weapons, whenever a Palestinian community mobilizes to defend itself against settler pressure -- until they die of starvation, as all of their resources, farmland, water, has been stolen by Israel.

Did Israel invade Gaza yesterday? RUV?

yes.
The zionists invade the Palestinian Bantustans so much, you can hardly call it an "invasion". Although as of recently, most "invasions" are into the West Bank Bantustan, kidnapping around 15 Palestinians a day. Invasions are more than daily, and I'm not exagerating. In some cases, a Palestinian city would be invaded over 40 times in one month; 1.25 invasions per day. The laugh is, the PLO first accepted to form a "state" on those Bantustans in 1974 so it could "use it as a base for commando action"!!!
they couldn't have been any more mistaken!! the Zionists invade the Palestinian Bantustans with no difficulties at all (with all due respect to the Palestinian fighters and their brave resistance), do whatever they want there, stay for how long they please, and return whenever they feel necessary. Among the most basic rules for guerilla action is to insure inaccesablity for the enemy to your bases. this was insured when the Palestinian factions where based in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan. Now, the Zionists have complete acces to the Palestinian resistance, situated in Bantustans that the zionists invade on a daily basis!

Actually, there is a zionist invasion into Gaza RIGHT NOW

The internal fighting is defenatly a problem, but still, the simple fact that the Palestinian armed revolution is situated in a place extremly easy for the zionists to get to, is a violation of one of the most basic rules of guerilla warfare. I mean, even if the Palestinian factions weren't fighting between each other, (again, with all due respect to the fighters), I doubt they will be able to block off the zionists from getting into the Bantustans.

What is to be done?

Revolution Until Victory
26th July 2007, 17:48
What is to be done?

Good question.

First, now, the Palestinian armed revolution is violating among the most basic rules of guerilla warfare: allowing the enemy access to your bases. In other words, the Palestinian resistance is now situated in "unfavorable ground"; a place that is populated, worked by machince, and extremely easy for the enemy to reach.
The solution, of course, isn't to keep trying to block off the zionists from entering the Bantustans. It takes too much effort and time, and the resistance would be 24/7 on the defensive, not to mention the difference of power between the zionist imperialists and the Palestinian factions.
However, the Palestinian resistance wasn't in that horrible situation and disadvantage all along. The Palestinian armed revolution was in fact following the basic rules of guerilla warfare from the very begning of the struggle until the 80's.
When the Palestinian modern revolution started in 1965, the resistance was based in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria, insuring inaccesablity for the enemy, and being in what is known as Favorable Ground (a place difficult for the enemy to reach: mountains, countryside, forests, other states ect.)
Unfortunatly, in the early 70's, the Palestinian revolution lost one of its vital bases: Jordan as a result of Black September. In conclusion, the Palestinian factions moved to Lebanon, still, not violating basic rules of guerilla warfare, and being situated in favorable ground which the enemy can't easly reach. The major blow came in 1982, in which the Palestinian resistance lost all of its bases; lost all of the favorable ground it got after evacuating Lebanon. After that, there was a confusion. What to be done? we have lost our last base for armed struggle! As a natural result, the first popular uprising began in the allies of Gaza. So this time, the struggle shifted from outside (Jordan and Lebanon) to inside (the Gaza and West Bank Bantustans). In a clear contrast to the years of armed struggle, the first popular uprising could be considered as non-violent, peaceful, and mostly, civil disobedience, were all the people (old, young, women, men etc.) participated.
Of course, such kind of actions, civil disobedience and mass action, unlike guerilla warfare, needs to be as close to the enemy as possible to insure it is effective. Civil disobedience wouldn't work if you didn't engage your enemy. Unlike guerilla warfare, it wouldn't work if your enemy can't access your place of action. So the first popular uprising was situated in a perfect place. Unfortunatly, Oslo came and ended the first popular uprising. The people rejected this imperialist settlment and surrender, and as a natural result, they rose again in revolt. Here comes the huge and horrible mistake. Follwoing the unacceptance of the Palestinian people to surrender to the Oslo agreemtn, naturally, they launched a second uprising. However, it was a very strange uprising: it wasn't a "popular uprising" were all sorts of people participate and consists mainly of peaceful civli disobedience, rather it was basiclly a re-launch of the armed reovlution, and a contination of it after it stopped in 1982. The problem is, it was situated in a place not sutable for armed struggle, but perfect for civil disobedience, the kind of thing that took place during the first intifada. So what we have here is an armed struggle situated in a place fit only for NON-ARMED struggle. And this is, in my opinon, one of the major sitbacks for the Palestinian revolution. We thought we can repeat BOTH our armed struggle and first popular urprising TOGETHER, without noticing the main differences between them and how each one demands its own specific rules. So now, the Palestinian armed revolution is situated in unfavorable gournds. What is to be done?
We can defenatly learn from the experience of other masses in their struggle against colonialsm and oppression. In my opnion, the best model is South Africa. The similarites between South African and Palestine are unbelievable and countless. Among the major ones is the native population replaced by a settler one and confined to Bantustans, while the colonizers took over most of the land and established their own settler-colony. At first, there was non-violent resistance in the form of civil disobedience, strikes, demonstrations etc., and of course, all situated inside South Africa and the Bantustans, since they needed to insure constant contact with the enemy. In the late 50's and around the year 1961, South African armed struggle started, led by the ANC and its military wing Umkhonto we Sizwe. The South African fighters realized that, unlike non-violent civil disobedience, armed struggle can't be based in the Bantustans since they constitue un favorable gorunds and are very easy for the enemy to get to, and should be based on places that the colonizers can't get easly get to (favorable grounds for the armed revolution). Thus, the ANC wasn't based in the South African Bantustans, rather in nearby states such as Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland. This way, the ANC insured that the colonizers do not have easy access to thier bases. The Palestinians were doing the same thing as the South Africans, until 1982 when we lost our last favorable ground for armed struggle, and re-launched our armed revolution from the Palestinian bantustans, allowing VERY easy access for our enemy.

Now, the important thing is that we have finally identified the problem (the resistance being situated in unfavorable ground). I don't think the solution is an issue now, as long as we knew what was wrong in the first place. The solution now became a matter of details: how do we get back to favorable gounds, unaccesable for the enemy?

Now thats easy to type, but would it be as easy when practiced, do they have the right strategies, and equipments to block the enemy's continuous invasion(s)?

it wouldn't be easy. Defenatly. But it will certinaly be much more efficent and easier if we praciticed and followed the rules of guerilla wafare. I mean, it's a world of difference between the reistance being situated in the Bantustans were the enemy can reach sooo easly, and between the armed revolution being situated in favorable grounds where the enemy can't, or at least, would have diffeculty accesing. The zionists can "inavde" the Bantustans with 2 jeeps, or even 1 jeep, get into any city, do whatever they want, and many times, get out with not even one rock thrown at it. But on the other hand, in no way can the zionists do such a thing, in say, Jordan, Lebanon, or any similar favorable ground for the resistance. The most the Zionist can do if the fighters were in favorable ground is to bomb from the air, or a massive invasion to this area. Bombing would be of limited danger and ineffective, as the previous zionist invasion of Lebanon have proven. Almost all guerilla groups situate themselves in favorable gounds not accesable by their enemy, if they want to stand any chance of succes. An obvious trend is guerilla groups situatied in mountains and forests inside the country they are operating in. And it seems to work.
Among the major advanteges is that the resistance wouldn't have to be on the defensive that much, since the Zionists attacks would be much limited, especially the invasions, and it would be limited to bombing from the air, which couldn't cause much damage.

Incidentally, do the PFLP comrades aim well?

I would say so. For example, the PFLP was the only Palestinian faction of the revolution to be able to assasinate a zionist offical in the second intifada. They assasinated Ravaham Zeevi, Minister of Toursim and a right-wing racist, in October 17, 2001 as a response to assasinating their leader Abu Ali Mustafa. They also had numerous assasination attempts at high-level Zionist politicans, including Olmert when he was governer of Jerusalem, Olmert as prime-minister, racist Rabbi Ovaida who calls for the ethnic cleansing and slaughter for all Palestinians, and an assasination attempt at Mofaz in which the bullet passed by his ear!!
Also, the PFLP was among the few factions to be able to kill anyone with thier rockets directed at Sedrot, when they bombed Sedrot and killed one zionist and injured another. But of course, the Palestinian homemade rockets have a very low accuracy level, that's why it many times hit uninteded targets, such as open fields, schools, etc.

Wow! I'm really thankful for this thread because I had read that the PFLP and other socialist resistance organizations weren't very active anymore, but here I'm learning that's not the case! Please keep this post going because you're really providing us all a service, seeing as in the America we hear nothing but slanders of any Palestinan who dares to stand up to the occupiers.

Oh, one question I do have is, where does the PFLP stand in relation to the coup led by Abbas and all the in fighting which preceded it? Thanks once again.

Revolution Until Victory
1st August 2007, 17:40
yes Kotze, it's defenatly easy to slander the communist movment worldwide after the fall of the USSR by claiming "they are dead blah blah blah"

Anyways, since the begning of the Palestinian revolution, it was known that the PFLP hates Al Fatah, the party of Abbas. Their hatred escelated at times to armed clashes. Today, the PFLP keep bashing Abbas for negotiating with the zionists, since the PFLP refuse any negotiations with them. They refuse the concept that the Palestinian factions should resolve their conflicts through arms, that's why they wanted Hamas to not use arms to prevent the coup, and preferred that every faction deals with its own collaborators. This position by the PFLP is to strenghen unity between the different factions. At the other hand, the PFLP clearly rejects Abbas, his dicesions after Hamas controlled Gaza, and the Fayad collaborator governemnt. So basicly, they refuse that the Palestinian factions use arms to resovle anything between each others, but also clearly refuse the Abbas-Fayad-Dahalan collaboraters.

Comrade, it is important to understand that the whole of the Fatah party are not collaborators.

There is a treacherous clique within the Fatah leadership, which consists of Mahmoud Abbas, Sallam Fayyad and Mohammed Dahlan and some others.

This doesn't mean that the whole of Fatah are collaborators. For instance, Hani Al-Hassan, another Fatah leader, is still loyal to the Palestinian cause.

Militarly speaking, the coporation between all Palestinian liberation groups is perfect. I would say even between Al Fatah and Hamas. As Spirit said, not all of al Fatah is Dahaln-Abbas-Fayyad gang. In fact, only a minority belong to those collaborators. Unfortunalty, however, this is not the only issue with Al Fatah, there is also the problem that they have accepted the Oslo agreement and accepted the settler-colony and compromised with colonialism. But even then, still not all of Al Fatah is like that. Many are neither of the Dahlan gang, nor do they accept Zionist colonialism. On the issue of the resistance, Al Fatah refused the "amnesty" from the zionist colonizers that it formerly seemed to accept, and vowed to continue armed struggle.

yes Mariam, this is an issue I have also been struggling to understand. The Palestinian resistance's operations in general are rarely repored in major news agencey. You can only find them in local Palestinian and maybe some other arab media. But this question leads us into an important issue, why isn't Al Jazeera reporting those? Al Jazeera is the no.1 news agency in the arab world, and among the leading ones internationaly. If you follow Al Jazeera (in arabic) you would notice they do infact report the operations of the Palestinian resistance, but with a bias. They only report the operations of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and to a lesser extent, Hamas. They do not report the operations of the PFLP. Al Jazeera is biased towards the PFLP!!! do you realize how unlucky the Palestinian and worlwide left is, that among the most major news channles in the world is biased against it?? For example, yesterday, both the PFLP and Islamic Jiahd bombed zionist targets. The IJ operation was reported on Al Jazeera (2 mortar shells on Eretz), while the PFLP operation (2 inhanced Somoud rockets at Sedrot) was not. this is simply blatant bias. This is just a simple example among countless of such unjustified bias. For instance, non of the recent PFLP major opeartions, including ambushes for zionist patrols and vehicles have been reported, even though they were the most major event of the day, and would defenatly have been reported if it was done by the IJ. Another example, is when both Hamas and the PFLP bombed Sedrot, and both claimed that a zionist have been killed, and both claimed the operation. On Al Jazeera, they simply reported that Hamas have claimed the operation, and ignored the PFLP. This is a small sample of the utter bias of this major news channel. Something should be done about this.

How is attacking military targets and personnel terrorism?

It is still individual terrorism. It substitutes the actions of self-appointed heroes and avengers for the mass involvement and movement of workers and the poor. It is un-Marxist and only "belittles the role of the masses in their own consciousness" (Trotsky). A genuine Marxist organisation would be busy building amongst the working class, building the trade unions and encouraging a class based response to the occupation, linking up with Israeli workers against the common enemy, not unaccountably appointing themselves as liberators and defenders of the masses.

The use of armed resistance tactics and mass struggle aren't mutually exclusive at all. This is the false dillemna logical fallacy. The PFLP supported mass organising, such as the intifada. Anyway it's pretty obvious that under a military occupation, some form of armed response is necessary.

Trotskyists do not; and the reason for this is dubious paranoia of police infiltration and the belief that "terrorist" comrades will "rise above" the authority of the Central Committee of the party. Which is bullshit. Russia was not in the situation Palestine is in today.

Thanks RUV for posting all of this and keeping us up to date on the revolutionary and defensive activities of the PFLP!

Operation Wrath of the Refugee Camp

The PFLP have declared responsiblity for the operation Wrath of the Refugee Camp in Nablus. The Ein al Maa Palestinian refugee camp in Nablus have been invaded in a heavy invasion of over fifty Zionist military vehicles targeting PFLP guerillas who, according to Zionist sources, were preparing for massive bombing operations inside Israel. PFLP guerillas ambushed the soldiers in the camp. A highly-explosive huge roadside bomb was planted in the ambush. The PFLP detonated the highly explosive huge explosive device and heavly showered the soldiers with bullets. Huge and fierce battles went on for over two hours. As a result, a Zionist officer was killed and many injured, including two in critical condition at 7:30 am. PFLP guerilla, Mohammed Reda Khaled (Abu Anour), 18, was martyred during the operation. The Zionist invaders prevented any ambulances from getting near the hero even though he was in critical condition. The PFLP had several heavy and fierce battles with Zionist forces at different positions in the refugee camp, detonating several highly-explosive explosive devices. Zionist forces are still currently invading the refugee camp because of fierce and heavy armed clashes and battles it is involved in with the PFLP. There is confusion if anyone participated with the PFLP in the operation. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad declared their particiaption in a joint military communique and a press conference with the PFLP. Hamas also decalred its particiaption in a military communique.

There are news of several Palestinians arrested. Zionist forces claim there are only two: one from the PFLP and the other from Hamas. The Zionist invasion, considred the most massive in a couple of months, is directed at a PFLP cell. There are news reporting that the PFLP martyr, Abu Anour, isn't 18. He is said to be a 17 years old highschool senior.

Is there a ceasefire for rockets launched into Israeli territory now?

Also, aren't all organizations, led by Hamas, beginning to start negotiations for a total ceasefire should Israel stop incursions into Gaza? If so how far are those talks going?

Is there a ceasefire for rockets launched into Israeli territory now?

no, not really. Hamas, because it controls Gaza, has called for rocket attacks to stop during Ramadan. However, no faction seems to agree, including the military wing of Hamas.

Also, aren't all organizations, led by Hamas, beginning to start negotiations for a total ceasefire should Israel stop incursions into Gaza?

I don't recall ceas-fire efforts led by Hamas. I believe Hamas are supposed to be negotiating one; same with Al Fatah. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the PFLP both refused a "free of charge" cease-fire, and have declared they would accept a cease-fire (not a long-term one though) if Israel is to stop its aggressions. It should be mentioned that the PFLP is the most opposed to a cease-fire.

Details of the Heroic Wrath of the Refugee Camp Operation:

The massive Zionist invading forces started shearching and attacking different houses inside the camp. A massive explosive device was planted in one of the houses that were expected to be attacked by the Zionists, in the context of the plans of the field leadership of the resistance in fighting off invasions aimed at the stronghold of the resistance. The huge explosive device was detonated as soon as the Zionist soldiers arrived, followed by a heavy shower of bullets and a two hour fierce and heavy battle and armed clash that resulted in the killing of a Zionist officer and the injury of many others, including two in critical condition. PFLP guerilla, Mohammed Khaled (Abu Anour) was martyred in the heroic operation.

However, the PFLP have denied such claims and affirmed that the Zionist invaders failed to arrest any of its wanted guerillas. The spokesman also added that the fierce and violent battle between the Zinonist forces and the Palestinian guerillas is continuing into its third day and it's at its highst. This is the Paratrooper elite Brigades. The "one with the bad teeth" was the staff-sergeant, and belonged to the eltist unit in it. He was the one to get killed. In the operation Wrath of the Refugee Camp, the PFLP was able to kill one (the guy with the bad teeth) and injure many, including 2 in critical condition. PFLP Military Communique:

The Bets of the Enemy have fallen but not Our Fortresses: A Crushing Defeat for the Occupation Army after its Campaign failed in Destroying the Knights of the Resistance.

For three days, the Facist Zionist enemy's forces and his army gangs have launched a vicious agression against our people in the Ein Beit Al Maa refugee camp (Flame of the Resistance) in Nablus, Jabal Al Naar. Our heroic gureillas, as usual, fought that barbaric, savage invasion with thier rifles and thier chests and were able to cost the enemy heavy loses according to its own admition. Our guerillas were also able in preventing it from achieving any of its goals in the courages camps in killing or arresting any of the heroic gureillas. As a result of this massive defeat in Zionist plans, the enemy launched several false statements aimed at destroying the will of our people and guerillas, about its supposed arrest of a number of our guerillas. The Zionist enemy then proceeded to commit the ugliest of crimes by executing a paralized man and demolishing houses, not to mention besieging the camp and starving its residents, which express the extent of how Facist and bloody this army is, and also its hoplessness and disappointment in not achieving his goals of finishing off the the courages resistance. We in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades (The military wing of the PFLP) bid farewell to our martyrs, and affirm the following:

1. The steadfastness of our guerillas in the Al Eine camp stems primarly from the belief in the justice of our cause and the uncompromising realiy of the road of the resistance as a sole and only method of eradicting the occupation. And that steadfasteness wouldn't have been possible wasn't it for the support our guerillas got form the people of the camp and the masses of our people who are keen on the option of the resistance.

2. We affirm that the Zionist occupation forces were not able to arrest any of our wanted courages guerillas and any other allegations are lies to cover up the crushing defeat of thier campaign and to cover up the huge lose the occuaption forces suffered at the hands of our heroic gureillas.

3. The criminal, Zionist polecies will not be able to force our people to kneel down and the crimes they commited in Al Ein refugee camp will increase our determination on continuing the resistance. What happned is a message to all those who have illusions about getting a "pardon" from the occupation or beg a cease-fire with it.

4. We promise the masses of our people to go forward in the path of the resistance until regaining our legal rights.

Revolution Until Victory
1st November 2007, 03:13
Details of the Heroic Nablus battle and the Wrath of the Refugee Camp legendary operation in Ein Beit Al Maa refugee camp as told by the comrades in the PFLP:

Background:

Ein Beit Al Maa Palestinian refugee camp is nicknamed Fortress of Martyr Muhammed Al Fahmawi, referring to the PFLP guerrilla assassinated by Zionist forces in 1988, after a long history of revolutionary violence. Recently, the refugee camp became the favorite daily target of Zionist forces, through daily invasions aimed at the PFLP guerrillas. An example would be the legendary Wadi Al Tufah battle in which the PFLP guerrillas courageously fought the Zionist forces and pounded them through tens of ambushes and IED’s.
Alleged Reasons for the Zionist invasion: PFLP guerrillas active in the refugee camp and fears of the mounting danger the guerrillas pose for the Zionist settler-colony in which the PFLP guerrilla have developed new fighting tactics. Zionist sources have affirmed that the Zionist forces have been constantly attacked by surprise by the PFLP guerrillas, constituting a revolutionary and unique change in the tactics of the Palestinian guerrilla warfare, making the guerrillas of the PFLP the most dangerous and lethal in the West Bank. The whole concept of taking the initiative in attacking and direct confrontation with the Zionist invaders was the revolutionary step pioneered by the PFLP, paving the way for the other Palestinian factions to evolve their fighting tactics in the future. Another reason for the Zionist massive invasion was the long series of heroic and painful attacks by the PFLP guerrillas which inflicted heavy losses on the Zionists. Also, PFLP cells (one of which is a joint cell with Hamas) have been planning massive bombing operations deep inside the settler-colony.
However, due to the extreme secrecy of the PFLP guerrillas, the Zionists have failed in assassinating or arresting any of the fighters.

The details of the Ein Beit Al Maa battle as told by the comrades in the PFLP:

On September 18, Zionist vehicles have advanced into the gates and the borders of Nablus and the surrounding areas, affirming to the guerrillas the inevitable battle and that the refugee camp, which has attacked the Zionists with one painful operation after the other, will be invaded. The guerrillas started preparing themselves and their capabilities for this massive invasion. The leadership of the military wing of the PFLP had an expanded meeting in Nablus for its leaders to study and analyze the best and most efficient ways in fighting this unique, massive invasion. The main decision of the meeting was for the PFLP guerrillas to tacitly pull out form the camp if the invasion and the siege continued longer than the expected days agreed upon in the meeting. Another decision made by the meeting was to concentrate on Ein Beit al Maa refugee camp and supply it with all the possible supplies, since the guerrillas were convinced the main target of the invasion would be this refugee camp.

Paving the way for the battle:

PFLP guerrillas have planted IED’s in every street and alley of the refugee camp and orders were given for every guerrilla to have all the necessities that allow him/her to continue fighting. The PFLP also decided to have the guerrillas fight in cells of no more than three comrades for each cell. All cell phones were turned off and firm orders were given by the guerrilla leaders to not make any phone calls except in a secure way to maintain security and secrecy.

Preparations:

In a space of one hour, all the orders were being implemented and the PFLP guerrillas were at the utmost of readiness to fight any invasion. The PFLP also prepared the corporation and organization with the rest of the Palestinian liberation movements, especially Hamas. After midnight, the Zionist military vehicles started advancing towards the camp, supported by the Apache’s, and began a siege of the camp from all positions and exists. At around 2 am, the Zionists began their invasion into the camp from all exists and axis at one time supported by the incendiary bombs that turned the night of the camp into day.

The IED’s chase them around and kill an officer and wound many:

As soon as the Zionists invaded the camp, IED’s were detonating everywhere and bullets were fired on them from every side. The people of the camp were chanting and cheering the PFLP guerrillas and raising their moral. During those battles and in one of the armed clashes, comrade Muhammed Reda Khaled was martyred after facing the Zionists military vehicles, killing a Zionist officer and wounding another. The Zionists affirmed this operation that they have never expected. The operation came as an affirmation that the Zionists have been hit hard by the Palestinian guerrillas and resistance and debunked any myths about Zionist military power. During the second day of the invasion, and after the defeat and heavy loss of the Zionists, massive military backup entered the camp, as if the battles were against a classical army not guerrillas.

Getting Ammunition:

With the confrontations and the battles getting considerably more violent, fierce, and vicious, there was a fear that the ammunition might run out. Thus, a PFLP guerrilla, despite the unbelievably tight siege and closer of the refugee camp, was able to infiltrate outside of the camp to get more ammunition. Due to the extremely violent battles, the guerrillas thought their comrade wouldn’t be able to return, yet they were surprised with his return with more ammunition and a backup of a number of PFLP guerrillas. And here the battles began getting even more violent and aggressive. With the battles getting more fierce due to legendary resistance shown by the PFLP guerrillas, the Zionist army was not even able to move or transport in the streets or the alleys of the camp. Thus, the Zionist army resorted to invading the houses of the camp, searching it accurately with the help of their dogs and advanced electronic gadgets in order to get the PFLP comrades and guerrillas. The resistance was so violent and heavy that the resistance shown at the Jenin refugee camp (in which the PFLP guerrillas also fought in) seemed to be reoccurring, forcing the Zionist army to only move through the houses. As a result, the Zionist army was demolishing many houses in its efforts to confine the resistance in a tight area; however, the PFLP guerrillas were ready for them. Then, the Zionist army was surprised that they are being fired at and bombs detonating in them from the same houses they were searching and hiding in. As a result, the Zionist invaders went insane and started randomly opening their fire from the fear and terror they were feeling. Due to the Zionists opening fire randomly at any moving object, martyr Adeeb Al Damouni was killed in his house even though he was paralyzed on a wheel chair. After that, the Zionist invaders went on to blow up the sewage system.

Demolishing the Homes of the Eagles (a name referring to PFLP guerrillas):

With the increased steadfastness of the resistance, the Zionist forces started demolishing the houses of PFLP comrades and guerrillas.

Arrests and field Interrogations:

In addition to their other crimes in the refugee camp, the Zionists forces arrested innocent civilians and conducted field interrogations with them, demanding to inform them of the hiding places of the PFLP guerrillas. Yet one Palestinian prisoner responded, “They do not hid they are right there in front of you; firing at you and detonating IED’s in you, so what do you want from us??” Many people were arrested, including Hamas military leader “Abu Nasim”, after bravely fighting the invaders and running out of ammunition.

A Crushing Defeat…And a Pull-out:

In the third day and with the increasing loss of the Zionist army, the Zionist forces began to pull-out amid the heavy and fierce battles that didn’t stop through out the whole three days. It was apparent the Zionist forces were convinced that they have fallen into the trap of the PFLP guerrillas, and that if they continued the confrontations and battles, they will loose heavily. Thus, at four o’clock, the Zionist army was pulling out from the camp, humiliated at the hands of the PFLP guerrillas. During the pull-out, the PFLP guerrillas have set-up ambushes for the Zionist forces on all the roads and paths that it was going to take. Battles, thus, erupted at many different positions and areas in Nablus and the Zionist forces admitted to have one soldier in a critical condition.

Zionist forces invade Balta Refugee Camp, Nablus, break into the houses of PFLP guerrillas and cause extensive damage.

Revolution Until Victory
14th November 2007, 02:45
Interview with the general leader of the Military Wing of the PFLP:

PS: Anything in brackets is stuff I added for clarification.

1- Nablus is considered a massive fortress for the guerrillas of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades [the military wing of the PFLP. Used to be called the Red Eagles then changed to the Forces of the Popular Palestinian Resistance, and then changed to the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades after the assassination of the general-secretary of the PFLP, Mustafa Al Zuberi (Abu Ali Mustafa), assassinated by Zionist forces in 2001], what is the reason? And do you coordinate with the rest of the PFLP guerrillas in the rest of the West Bank and Gaza?

Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades are everywhere in Palestine, and if there was Palestinian cities were the presence is stronger than other areas, it is due to many reasons, most importantly: the assassination and arrest of most of the leaders of the brigades [On October 17th, 2001, the PFLP retaliated for the assassination of its Secretary General by a massive operation that revolutionized the Palestinian armed struggle and its tactics. Four PFLP commandos assassinated the racist Zionist Minister of Tourism, Rahvam Zeevi, and founder of the extreme, racist, right-wing Moeldet party. Never in the entire history of the Arab-Zionist conflict had such a high-profile Zionist politician get assassinated. This operation was probably the most powerful blow against the Zionist settler-colony sense the airplane hijackings by also the PFLP during 1960’s and 1970’s. As a result, a massive campaign of arrest and assassination was launched against the PFLP revolutionary fighters by the Zionist forces and the imperialist agents in the “Palestinian Authority”], the limited amount of financial sources due to the siege imposed on the organization in general, in addition to the building process taking place currently in the PFLP preparing for the upcoming phase, due to our convection that the war of liberation is long, and that the enemy [the Zionists] knows only the language of force. Concerning the coordination with the rest of the guerrillas in the rest of the areas, we do so continually despite the difficulties in the coordination process due to the checkpoints by the occupation everywhere, and also due to the fact that contact through phone and internet is not secure.

2- The PFLP, through out its history, stood out for the massiveness and power of its military operations, but during the current intifada, the PFLP suffered from a rarity in operations, even though its operations were powerful and unique, what is the reason for this?

There are still massive and powerful operations, such as the operation of the assassination of the low-life criminal Zeevi, and the martyrdom operations [aka, “suicide bombings”] in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Pitah Tikvah, Natania, and Kfar Saba. The brigades [the military wing of the PFLP] got a presence and an effect in every occupied part of our beloved land. The rarity of the operations, which all other Palestinian factions suffer from, got many reasons, and we do not deny that the Apartheid Wall is among those reasons that have caused the operations inside [the Zionist settler-colony] to be less in recent times. But this does not mean that those operations do not exist.

3- You [in the PFLP] suffer from a weakness in financial capabilities [reason mentioned above: siege by the Zionists against the PFLP] and are continually targeted by the Zionists forces…How are you able to manage in light of the difficult situation you are in?

We in the brigades [the military wing of the PFLP], when we have chosen this path, knew beforehand that we will be targeted by the occupiers and its collaborators, and that martyrdom and arrest await us every moment. However, we will not give away our path until victory or martyrdom. Due to the constant raids by the Zionists against the PFLP, we have lost a lot of comrades in the brigades, either by arrest or assassination. According to our financial capabilities, we manage the issues of our daily life such as food, drink, and other. There are still people of honor among our people that support this noble phenomenon of resistance and offer support according to their abilities, due to their realization that there is no choice but to resist.

4- The program of the government of Salam Fayyad [the collaborationist “emergency” government of Abbas after the events of Gaza, led by Fayyad, a US-Zionist imperialist agent] does not have any mention of armed resistance? What is the opinion of the brigades on that issue?

We were not surprised with this program due to our early realization that his government is not a national one but was founded to implement Israeli-US agenda; the government says what it wants, and we in the brigades do what we please.

5- What is your position on the truce and cease-fire with the occupation?

The occupation only understands the language of violence and force, and what as taken away by force, could not be returned unless with force. As long as the occupation exists on our lands and our chests, we will not give up our resistance until the establishment of our Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The past experiences have proven the failure of all the agreements and peaceful solutions.

6- Do you accept throwing your weapons and surrendering them to the Palestinian Authority in return for guarantees on your life, and indications that you will not be harmed [b]?

We will not throw our weapons until the establishment of our independent state. Concerning the guarantees, the offers of forgiveness, and not being harmed, it is empty talk; since we are not criminals so we get forgiveness. When we carried our rifle and chose the resistance, we did not do so to protect our lives, but to get back our rights and stolen lands. We will continue resisting until martyrdom or the establishment of the state and getting back all our rights.

7- During the last few days, you launched daring operations and operations in corporation with other factions; is their a coordination with the rest of the factions, or this is a new tactic by the brigades?

Yes, there is coordination between some of the factions operating in the Palestinian scene, and Al Qassam Brigades being on top of them [Martyr Izz Al Din Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, have participated in a number of operations with the PFLP, especially in Nablus]. This coordination differs from one faction to the other. We also coordinate with the Fares Al Layel groups, from Al Aqsa Brigades [Fares Al Layel groups, which is Knight of the Night groups in English is a group belonging to the military wing of Al Fatah, Martyrs of Al Aqsa Brigades] which is still carrying its weapon and resist the Zionist occupation despite the siege they experience from all directions. It still operates with full force, especially in the old town in Nablus. We are hoping for, and working for that coordination and joint work to be more extensive to contain all the other organizations.

Last words?

We in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades greet our steadfast people on our beloved Palestinian land. We call on our people for more steadfastness and support for the resistance since it is the only choice for regaining our rights in establishing our independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, the return of the refugees, and the freeing of all the prisoners. We also call on our brothers in Al Fatah and Hamas to end all the conflicts and make national interest the priority, since the people and the cause does not afford any divisions. Our cause is right now in a sensitive phase, which needs us to unite more that any other time. We also affirm that we in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades will remain the first ones to resist the occupation and re-establishing the unity in-between our people. We also promise our people that our weapon will remain in the face of the occupation and its collaborators and will never go astray.

The collaborationist Palestinian Authority is besieging Beit Ein Al Maa refugee camp, Nablus, targeting a number of PFLP guerrillas wanted by the Zionsit forces.
The PFLP rejected the attempts of the "PA" to do what the occupation failed to do, and arresset the PFLP guerrillas. The PFLP considred those attempts as an implimentation of the Road Map and equating the resistance with terrorism. Until now, all meetings have failed and the collaborationist PA stress that the PFLP guerrillas have to surrender themeselves and weapons, while the PFLP completely reject such compomises with Zionism.
In the same context, the PFLP threatened that if any PFLP guerrillas was arrested by the collaboraters at the PA, the PFLP's retaliation would be violent and painful against the Zionists before the Annapolis "peace confrence". Currently, high-profile meetings are taking place between Palestinian-US-Zionist officals to determine the fate of the besieged PFLP guerrillas.

PFLP declare that the siege by the collaborationsit PA continues until now against the PFLP guerrillas in the Nablus area.

Jamil Mizehr, a leader in the PFLP, asserted that the siege against the PFLP fighters continues until this moment as a result of the attempt of the Palestinian Authority to achieve what the Zionists failed to achieve. The Zionist Occupation Force have besieged Nablus for long yet couldn't arrest or assasinate those courages fighters that taught the Zionsits lessons and arts in fighting.

Mizher also considred that the siege by the PA goes hand in hand with the statment of the interior Minister in the Fayyad government to promise to dismantle all the armed Palestinian liberation groups. Mizher also affirmed that the security forces besieging the PFLP guerrillas recieve their orders from Dayton in order to impliment the first steps of the Road Map.

Mizher added that it wasn't a mere coincidence that Dayton was meeting with the Security Forces today, nor is it a surprise that the Security Forces are keen on arresting the PFLP guerrillas and pressure them to surrender themselves and thier weapons.

Mizher also said that the Al Ein refugee camp and the PFLP and its courages guerrillas will remain a thron in the throat of the occuaption; all attempts will fail to destroy them.

True, the Palestinian resistance in general is not being concentrated enough on by, not just the Wetsern media, but even also by the Arab media itself, such as Al Jazeera, the no.1 news channel in the Arab world. But would wikipedia publish news?? isn't just an online-encyclopedia?

We have sources, it's just that they're not in english but we have comrade Revolution Until Victory giving us english updates so I think we should do it.

Actually, many of the news posted here have English sources, however, they are almost never complete or right. The only way one could get the right picture is through the local news agnecies in Arabic and through the offical miltiary communiques in Arabic; that's why I translate instead of posting direclty English articles. But the issue is, whould such sites as Wiki trust and accept the translation of an individual and not of a trusted, unbiased source?

siege of the PFLP guerrillas by the collaborationist PA continues into its third day.

The Military Wing of the PFLP had declared that the leader of the special forces in the PA, Thiab Ali, is personally and directly responsible for any harm against the fighters of the PFLP and the rest of the factons.

The military wing of the PFLP added that at a time when the Palestinian courages resistance is fighting and resisting Zionist agressions, the tools of the Zionist project are determined on thier collaboration and refuse to be anything but thier typical position of cheap tools for the occupation. This is why, Thiab Ali, the leader of the special forces, ordered the firing at and killing of the PFLP guerrillas.
Those PFLP fighters that have sacrificed one martyr after the other, taught the enemy lessons in Al Ein refugee camp.

The PFLP questioned what did the guerrillas do other than kill the Zionist invaders one time after the other? And why to choose this timing of one day after the Zionist invasion into Nablus in which the PFLP violently fought the Zionsit invaders and wounded them? Is it to prove that they are tools for the occupation in arresting and assasinating the resistance fighters?

The military wing of the PFLP added that those who think the PFLP had forgotten what happned at the Jericho jail or the Mukata disgusting deal [the PA arresting the PFLP commandos who assasinated Zeevi and handing them in for the Zionists] are disillousioned. And those who think we will forgive this crime is even more disillousioned. Our silence and patience against those crimes are only for national interst. The military wing of the PFLP assured that the price and the coast will be heavy for any one that attempts to harm the resistance. The PFLP also declared that those who wish to go back to the time where the resistance fighters were being put into [PA] jails are only the collaboraters and the tools of its project. The PFLP reminded that the resistnace will be able to punish the collaboraters and the traitors. Not one drop of blood from the fighters is cheap to the masses of our people or the resistance.

The PFLP also asked, where was Thiab Ali, the dirty hand of the occupation, and the governor of Nablus, Jamal Muhsien, when our comrades and fighters were resisting and fighting the Zionsit invasion into the refugee Camp and the Nablus district?

Bier Ziet Universtiy closed down and evacuated following clashes between the PFLP and Fatah

The Bier Zeit Univeristy in the West Bank had closed down and been evacuated following clashes between the student wing of the PFLP and the student wing of Al Fatah supported by the collaborationist PA. The clashes started when a PFLP rally was attacked by the Fatah students, supported by the PA security forces, resulting in the injury of 13 comrades from the PFLP. Latter, a Fatah student was kidnapped, attacked in his dorm, and supposidly, was heavly beaten, hit with nails, and his face burned. The PFLP condemned the attack and denied any relation to it. Latter, a group of Fatah students stormed the University looking for PFLP students to assault. Some source claim Fatah have declared the PFLP outlawed in the university, and that the Fatah students would assault and beat up any student wearing a red Kuffiyeh (the kuffieh, the Palestinian traditional scarf, worn espesially by Palestinian fighters, with the red one being the symbol of the PFLP through out the history of the Palestinian revolution). Wintness affirm that Fatah armed men could be found inside and outside the university.

Violent clashes erupt between PFLP and Al Fatah members and guerrillas in Beit Jala

Violent clashes erupted between students belonging to the PFLP and students and security forces form AL Fatah and the PA in the Al Quds University in Beit Jala. The confrontations started after Fatah students have attempted to prevent PFLP students from distributing leaflets condemning the collaborationsit PA siege of the Al Ein refugee camp to arrest PFLP guerrillas. The clashes became more violent when the Fatah students called upon the collaborater Abbas security forces, and the PFLP students, in retaliation, called upon the PFLP miltiary wing guerrillas to help them in the clashes. The clashes between the PFLP students and the AL Fatah students and PA security forces escelated from mere fights into clashes using knifes and then escilated into armed clashes. The PA security forces, aside from aiding the Fatah students, assaulted the security gaurds of the universtiy. The PA also attacked the students with tear bombs that caused many injuries. The universtiy have been closed and evacuated. The PFLP membmers were taken by the PA forces into an unknown destination. The confronations then moved to AL Dheishe refugee camp between guerrillas form the two factions.

Interview with the mother of a PFLP guerrilla wanted by both the Zionist forces and the collaborationist PA:

Umm Ra’ed, mother of Jad Hamdan, the leader of the military wing of the PFLP in the Nablus area, wanted by the Zionist forces. Jad Hamdan has been among the most major guerrillas wanted by the Zionists forces, in which continues Zionist invasions have failed to arrest or assassinate him. The Zionist forces demolished his home as a punshment and as an expression of their hoplesness and failure. The Palestinian Authority, a US-Zionist tool, is trying to arrest him and achieve what the Zionists failed to do.

Following is the interview as provided by the Palestinian Media Network in Arabic (my translation, anything in brackets I have added for clarification):

A mere few hours were between the occupation forces pulling out from Ein Beit Al Maa refugee camp Western of Nablus and between the siege of the camp by the Palestinian Security Forces; a camp which have recently became among the most major strongholds of the resistance in the city of Nablus that faces continues invasions. With the early hours of the morning 2007-11-18, the residents of the camp were surprised to see massive Palestinian Security Forces tightly besieging the camp from all directions; a scene they are used to see by the Occupation Forces. After a short while, it was clear for the residents that the goal of the siege was arresting guerrillas from the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades [the military wing of the PFLP]. The PFLP guerrillas have been famous throughout all of Nablus due to what was known about them for their courageous resistance. Men, women, and children all gathered on the entrance of the camp to defend their sons [referring to the PFLP guerrillas] who formed a strong fortress in the face of the Israeli war machine through out the past months.

The Mother of the Wanted [PFLP guerrilla]

The leader in Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, Jad Hamdan, whom the occupation forces have demolished his family building consisting of four levels after failing to reach him, is wanted by the Palestinian security bodies and is supposed to surrender and turn himself in. Umm Ra’ed, mother of the fighter Jad, talked about how the members of the security bodies invaded her house at the outskirts of the camp in which she said, “they knocked on the door of our house and told me they want to get to the roof of the house as we are looking for “gangsters” that have fired at the security bodies; I then told them I have heard you are actually targeting the resistance fighters, but they denied this.”

She added, “After I allowed them in, they launched a massive searching campaign in the house and started asking me about my son Jad; I told them you told me you were after “gangsters” and my son is a resistance fighter. The same way I allowed you in with respect, please leave with respect, but they refused and started swearing and insulting us.”

The mother continues, “Then we started screaming and fought with them to get them out of the house, and then they started beating us with their sticks and fired a bullet in the house; they aimed their weapons at us, insulted us, and treated us with viciousness that we have never witnessed before, before pulling out after the people and the neighbors gathered and fought with them [the PA security forces].”

Questions!??

The mother, while talking passionately, added that she asked the security forces that entered her house, “Where were you when the occupation entered [the refugee camp] yesterday and where would you be every day during Israeli invasions!?? And did you come here to protect us or to arrest the resistance fighters!?? Are you able to protect yourself from the bullets of the occupation!?? And why can’t we see you in the streets after 11 pm, or is it that this is the time of the Israeli invasion!??”

The mother also expressed her deep anger at the behavior of the members of the security forces that fired heavily and randomly during the first day of the siege, due to little children throwing rocks, which resulted in the injury of two children and causing massive damage in the water containers, which resulted in the water containers being completely emptied. She questioned is there in any country an authority that does those things against its people just because they [the people] want to resist the occupier!?? She said, “the occupation didn’t do such things against us during its invasions; it didn’t fire at the water containers and didn’t treat us with such savagery like those [the security forces].”

They Will not Turn Themselves In

Umm Ra’ed also affirmed that her son [the wanted PFLP guerrilla] will not turn himself in to the security forces because he is a resistance fighter and didn’t do any trouble [meaning any crime] either a long time ago or recently. She added that he and his brothers in the resistance have sacrificed themselves and their security in the sake of defending the motherland. And she said, “Throughout the past months, our sons [meaning the PFLP guerrillas] weren’t able to sleep during the night; the occupation army is the one that launches the aggressions against us and them and its not them that go to occupation forces. That’s why I say to Abbas and the security forces that we will not allow you to arrest our sons because they will die as martyrs on their homeland and will not turn themselves in.”

The mother added, “We are starting to believe there is coordination between the occupation army and the security forces to turn in our sons [the PFLP guerrillas]. We are surprised that the occupation forces, unlike they usually do, quickly pulled out Sunday at dawn and then we were surprised after less than an hour with the siege imposed by the security forces of the authority [referring to the PA] and demanding the fighters to turn themselves in with no shame.”

But aren’t the security forces ashamed from themselves while they watch the occupation forces invade during the night and attack the houses of the residents and arrest whomever they want, while they [the security forces] besiege the camp in order to arrest those whom the occupation failed to reach!???

The Zionsit forces for the past few days have stopped their daily invasions into the PFLP stronghold in order to give the collaborationist PA the chance to prove how good of a tool for colonization it is. How strong is support for the PFLP, percentage wise, in the occupied territories?

I really can't think of any accurate or percentage wise survey or something of this sort. I can't think of any offical statistics. The only offical one I can think of was the PLO elections, which Palestinians from all over, not just the PA bantustans, were able to vote and the PFLP was second after Al Fatah, but that was some 30 years ago. All I can say is speculations based on past events. The PFLP's assasination of Zeevi, the many assasination attempts at Zionist top figures, the pioneering of mortar attacks from Gaza, the development of the Palestinian armed struggle through the assasination of Zeevi, the development of the Palestinian armed struggle and fighting tactics by the PFLP guerrillas in Nablus, and being almost daily targeted by the Zionists in Nablus and constantly targeted by the PA, whould all make popular support of the PFLP quiet strong. Not to mention th PFLP's famous radical stance and its non-corruptness.

of cousre, the last "elections" of 2006 couldn't be considred a reliable source becasue:

1- it was the result of the Oslo imperialist settlment. Many people refused to vote since they refused the entire compromise with imperialism

2- only 1/3 of the entire Palestinian people were allowed to vote, only those in the West Bank and Gaza Bantustans.

3- The PFLP's leadership, both political and military, was almost entirely destroyed by 2004 after the massive campaign against it by the Zionists and PA due to its assasiantion of Zeevi

4- Hamas was able to attract the voters coz of the massive social services it offered. Sources estimate that about 90% of Hamas total activity is social services. It is able to do this through the aid it gets from Arab/Muslim states in the region. The PFLP, on the other hand, refuse to recieve aid from those states and consider their distruction among its goals, since they are reacitonary, imperialist agents. Hamas and the rest of the gourps don't mind to collaborate with those imperialist agents. The result is that Hamas, due to the aid it recieve, is able to run those massive social services, while the PFLP, due to rejecting the imperialsit agents, can't even get close.

PFLP Denie: Collaborationist PA Claim PFLP Guerrillas Turned Themselves In

The collaborationst PA led by Abbas have claimed that 13 "wanted" (aka guerrillas fighting the Zionists) fighters in Nablus have turned themselves in to the security forces in order to be "forgiven" by the Zionists and not be targeted. The collaborationist PA claims that one of those fighters belongs to the PFLP and the other to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Both the PFLP and the PIJ strongly denied those cliams. The collaborationist PA cliams that the PFLP guerrillas who turned himself in is Maher Abu Al Reesh. The PFLP stronlgy affirmed that this fighter got nothing whatsoever to do with the PFLP. The rest of the surrendering guerrillas were from Al Fatah. Maher Abu Reesh have fought the Zionists for long, but when he even began of thinking to turn himself in to the PA, the PFLP expelled him over two weeks ago. Anyone who even thinks of turning him/her self in to the collaborationst PA would be expelled from the PFLP. In the same context, the PFLP also said that it had recieved offers form the PA to have some of its fighters be on the list to be forgiven from the Zionists, yet it had completley and absoulotly rejected them. The PFLP affirmed that it will continue armed struggle until the last drop of blood.
