How I picture the world turned cannibal.. err capitalist...

Since Rebal had made a topic about a comunist future for the world, I wanted to make one for its opposite, capitalism.

For me, theres no such things as happiness for capitalism, what I see for the capitalist future of Earth is a Dark city, with factories everywhere, people in a huge building, in their office, planning to suck out the planet's last rescources. People outside, lying doesn the street, with no homes, begging for money. There will be a rich part of the city, and the rest are the slums.
Greed will be all over the place. And there will be rebels who will turn against the damn city. Of course, they will be considered as 'Dangerous Terrorists Who Want To Kill Us All' by the gouvernment known as Shinr... err... I mean some capitalist gouvernment.
Anyways, Final Fantasy VII's Midgar is perfectly describing capitalism. Now that you know that I have just ripped off Final Fantasy, and that I've insulted capitalism once again, you may call me an unoriginal jerk. :biggrin:

And of course, I see very unhappy poor people, and very happy rich people. I mean... madly happy rich people.

How do you see it?

I think that vision is perhaps a little overrated. Capitalists will find happiness, be it superficial or not. Instead of being happy the will devote themselves to... pop-music or something. MTV for example.

If you ask me they will get high on mainstream television and junkfood... if they not already are!

i think the whole Shinra thing is a bit over exagerated, but i see what you mean, Capitilism is like a desease that only affects the ignorant, all we need is a good vacinne.

Seriosly i dont really agree there can be happiness in a capitalist society but its a fake and twisted kind of joy. I am never really happy nowadays mainly because i veiw the the world differently then i did earlier and when i know about how capitalism destroys the world and makes the richer richer and the poorer poorer. i cant really feel happy when i think about people being killed by american bombs. The only thing that could make me happy is a communist (or at least some kinduv socialist) revolution!

But I think you people understand, this was entirely symbolic. It is only a sign of greed and oppression. Of course... Some people just can't see it...
