I haven't studied anarchist theory at all, and I figured the best place to learn what it is is from an anarchist. Anarchists, explain your theory and movement, please.

Ah yes, another heated debate, I can't wait. :)

Yeah, except the anarchists aren't answering my question: what is the anarchist theory?! >.<

Simply put, anarchists are people who will gladly work with someone but they won't work for someone.

We have a very good topic pinned in Learning,
Making Sense of Anarchism - Anarchism for Dummies (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=6421), which has a link to another very nice thread (by the same author...)

What makes an anarchist... (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=25915)

More over, An Anarchist FAQ (http://www.infoshop.org/faq/index.html) (accessible through a number of easy to remember URLs, including http://anachistfaq.org and http://anarchyfaq.org ) is an absolute trove of information. In fact, sometimes I think it is perhaps too much!

Anyway, onto the actually question.
I consider anarchism to be a super-set of ideologies that all share a common core (being anti-hierarchy, and so on). As such, there isn't any single group of theories or writers (let alone a single theory! or movement). Of course, others disagree with me, but they are wrong .

There have been (unsurprisingly) a shit load of topics in the past on anarchism, here are some in the learning forum that you might find interesting.

http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=66840 a short thread on anarchist economy
http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=61587 a longish thread on "anarchist" revolutions
http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=64331 the difference between different sorts of anarchism?
http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=58443 how would anarchism work?
http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=57144 anarchist organisation (ignore the trolls...)
http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=55020 on justice in anarchy

There are heaps more threads out there too, a quick search for anarchism, anarchy or anarchist in theory and learning will turn up a bunch.
