Communism...nah, that's just crazy talk.
No, I mean pretty much everyone agrees. I've just closed another of your threads, so it would be a little harsh to close this.
WE are, in general, more interested in how to implement communism.

Communism should eventually evolve into something better. Permanent revolution is the shit.

The point of Communism is not wealth in the modern sense. Like capitalism displaced the feudal sense of wealth (which was land) Communism will displace the material sense of wealth with something esle, most likely knowledge, which is not concrete making most people relativiely equal. The more you know the higher you are. That kindof thing. I am sure there is a fancy name for this. Actually I know there is I just choose against going through my books from last semester to find out what it is called.

does it look bleak to anyone else to convert America to communism without massive bloodshed? I'm talking, filling the furrows kind of bloodshed. Too many people have too many guns with too much incorrect information. I know when I was growing up (7 or 8 years old) I was rattling off "Damn commies" like it was the American way, the right way. In fact, not til recently have I been educated, or enlightened, to be dramatic. I just think that the upper class has done too good of a job placating the lower, keeping them ignorant and poor and seeing no other way.

Permanent change in society and government is that SO HARD to imagine?

as in, constant evolution to suit the changes in the enviroment and nature and such, or just constantly social systems changing and revolutions occuring?

Obviously I am not in favour of permanent violent contact. Not only changing to siut the environment. also changing with new imaginations(like how Einstien changed things).

Yeah--it would take furrows of bloodshed to eradicate capitalism from our world. But it can be done. Just like you used to think the "damn commies" were the enemy, American slavery of blacks in the south used to be an accepted, understood, norm. Now we see it as barbaric (well, most of us do).
One day the Revolution will be won and we will look upon this time as barbaric as well.

maybe nice if someone can move this one to the OI forum-- that where it belongs, imo.
i think Rebal leaved us 'cause he misinterpreted the fact that he's on a commie board, while there are cappies on the OI, would be nice if he could further discuss the matter in OI if he dares to come back:biggrin:.

Well... It'd be superb if the world was truly communist. No one would be over another, and no fuckin' dictator will rule over us all. But I don't think it can happen. Earth will always have it's own Sauron. So, there will always be corruption even if capitalism dies. We must face the truth, not everyone is as good as you people are. One day, even after the great revolt, a Sauron wannabee will try to corrupt us all with his own 'Friggin Rings of Powers'. I don't know, this is also a theory of mine. But really, who the hell has introduced such a sinful thing as corruption in our community? Can't really tell it's the capitalists... there were monarchists before that... can't tell it's the kings... there were wars before that... Damnit! We introduced corruption! And it's our duty to erase that mistake.
I really doubt it can die. Even if the source of all evil dies, it will leave some left in this world, waiting for it to arise again.
By the way, Sauron is the Super-Duper Corrupted Dark Lord from JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings if you don't know that. Yes, I know people who don't know Lord of the Rings...

Sauron was the bringer of change and industry. The Ring was that industry. Sorry dude, but if what he ment was money, then he'd be like the super lefty. But unfortunatly he meant industry and change(didnt much like those). So, don't use that as an analogy. As it represents being against what we are for, change.

What is communism?

Actually, thats a very good question. And the people on this board will never be able to give somebody a straight answer on that one yet. Shouldn't we be doing that? Trying to actually define communism instead of repeating ourselves to the capitalists? I think we can agree that Marx was a bit off, as was Lenin. Marx was too open in it, and Lenin closed it when the USSR went bad. Let's define, shall we?
Boris Moskovitz

It is true... But somehow, the Ring corrupted the people because it gave them much more power than they can handle. That's the problem. Sometimes, change can be bad, as it can be good.
But the question... Well... I can't really awnser... I guess it will take quite a while to find one awnser. But I think you are talking about the true idea about communism, right? I guess it would take some time to think about that. I don't think the dictionnaries can really help. lol
