I hate that paper. It's like "Illegal disease ridden immigrants drive their government funded limos into Britain's water supplies, poisoning it for normal, white, middle class people because that's what we appeal to"

That paper's got to be fascist, right?

I wouldnt go as far as to say that they are fascist, but they are certainly level with the old school tory right. I remember in 2002 I think it was when the BNP had the highest number of council candidates standing they did a big spread telling people not to vote for them which i found amusing in an ironic sort of way.

Sometimes I think they go further than Conservative, because they don't agree with David Cameron either, and most Conservative policies.

Its probably not so much a reflection of their 'fascism' but more a reflection of the way in which they dissapprove of the way in which Cameron is taking the tory party towards trendy liberal centre green politics. The sort of tories still nostalgic for the days of the old logo, controversial headlines on the front of the Sun and the 'good ol' days' when Maggie crushed the miners and 'took no shit' from the 'Argies'.

BTW As much as some comrades may disagree with me, I believe it counter-productive when comrades yell 'Fascist' whenever someone we disagree with expresses a view we find remotely reactionary. Its equivalent to those stereotypical right wing boneheads coining the 'dirty commie' slogan whenever anyone criticises the neo cons. The 'fascist card' should be played sparingly and wisely against genuine hardline BNP/NF types. On another note, in a post revolutionary situation the moment we afford our critics less freedom than they afford us right now we concede the moral high ground.

Well they supported Oswald Mosley's BUF (British Union of Fascists) in the 1930s, so they certainly were then. Now they are just nationalist bastards. I hate that paper more than any other and I think we should all use it as toilet paper, then post it back to them.

I wasnt aware that they ever supported the BUF but obviously theyve won back some credibility since then. I hate the Sun more than the Daily Mail, at least the Daily mail are out and out middle class reactionaries (so you know where they stand) but I hate the way the Sun infiltrates the working class mindset and changes its spots just to suit the status quo. I remember when the Iraq war started they declared they would transfer their support from conservatives to New Labour. Opportunist assholes

"asylum seeking paedophiles are everywhere! they killed princess diana and now there coming for you!" that paper makes me laugh so much

the daily mail supported oswald mosley and the buf up until 1934 and supported hitler and mussolini up until 1939, only reversing there stance after germany invaded poland and the paper was threatened with closure by the british government. the owner at the time was a personal friend of mussolini.

they are fascist.

What are they now though? They arent a big threat to our movement anyway. Nobody outside the hardcore tory middle and possibly beourgiouse class reads its.
The sun though, are the biggest threat as they are turning all our potential comrades towards the enemy.
