Hi All,
What's your take on Che being part of the tourist experience in Cuba?
I'm researching my Master's thesis (in Cultural Tourism) on this theme and I'd be very interested in your thoughts and experiences.
Have you visited Cuba, and if so how did Che's history (and continued 'presence' there) contribute to your trip?
Did you take a 'Che tour' taking in the revolutionary sites, visit any museums and mausoleums or simply photograph a few of those powerful billboards? What Che momentos did you take home?
Or.... do you hope to visit Cuba in the future and is Che a part of your desire to do so?
For the personal record (first time poster), I visited Cuba for the first time as a tourist in 2003 and life hasn't been the same since. I made a point of going to revolutionary sites across the island, became intrigued, got totally hooked and I'm still searching and learning.
Cheers everyone.
