i was reading the "making sense of anarchism-anarchism for dummies" and when you get to the part of anarchism and marxism it say's "Marx himself was heavily influenced by Max Stirner's book The Ego and Its Own, which contains a brilliant critique of what Marx called "vulgar" communism as well as state socialism.

It is, however, completely wrong. Marx despised Max Stirner, considering him qutie ignorant.

Marx used it to refer to those who merely believed that the abolition of private property would be a societal panacea.

"Crude communism" is a more common translation, and it appear in the manuscripts of 1844, section "Private Property and Communism".
