This is a figure who is very popular amongst the gusano community, so I guess he has lots of protection. He also kept bragging how he is such big buddies with the Bush family, so I assume he gets more protection. For some reason I dont think he would be a that easy target to hit. Did you ever see the Swedish documentary Sacrificio? Its about Che's last moments and the scapegoat of history, Ciro Bustos, who has been portrayed as Che's sole traitor while Debray (who first confirmed Che was in Bolivia) has been glorified as a hero. Interesting bits were a part in which a local Bolivian officer at the time was interviewed who contradicted what Rodriguez is talking about in the interview about hugging Che and all that. "Rodriguez was a Gusano, a traitor, Che wouldnt have hugged a man like that".

That's pretty messed up. I don't usually get upset about much, but that just burns my ass. Just the fact that anyone could brag about killing another human being is beyond me; but it especially gets to me since Che was such a great person, and the epitome of what any revolutionary should strive to be. I would think that would have just riled up all the revolutionaries in the world, but obviously not enough for them to do anything about it. That's too bad

I think one should be very skeptical of the stories that Rodriguez and Che's executors tell of his death.

There was a group called the Che Guevara International Brigade that did target some those who were involved in Che's death such as General Anaya of the Bolivian Army.

Ya, but no one knows if it was them or not. I'd like to think that they were the ones who killed him though.

No one is 100% sure but since they did claim it, they're the main suspects unless new evidence shows otherwise.
