View Full Version : Stop the Ogaden Genocide!

Mercilessly conducted by ‘Ethiopian’ Dictator Meles Zenawi, the Ogaden Genocide helps only the further radicalization of the peaceful and tolerant Ogadeni nation that for many long decades has been inhumanly oppressed within tyrannical Abyssinia. Ogadenis were never asked about their – most hateful and most inhuman – inclusion in the most repugnant African tyranny.

Expressing unprecedented brutality, Abyssinian army and militias have committed another appalling crime yesterday in Ogaden, burning an entire town, Laasdoole, inhumanly massacring the former Chairman of the Town Council Mr. Duulane Guuleed Carab, and many other people. All Laasdoole houses and the properties of the inhabitants have been burned, and the survivors have been left without shelter, belongings, water and food in the whereabouts.

As the odious events took some time to be completed, the rest of the population, mainly consisting of children, women and elders, who were facing unjustifiable charges and extrajudicial killings, were saved thanks to the arrival of the Ogaden National Liberation Army (ONLA), the military wing of the Ogaden National Liberation Front that gathers total support among all the Ogadenis, as it embodies every hope for Independence, Self-Determination, Freedom, Democracy, Tolerance, and Progress.

Abyssinian dictator Zenawi controls less than 50% of Ogaden

As the news broke in the mountains and plains around Laasdoole, the Ogaden National Liberation Army came immediately to counterattack Meles Zenawi’s thuggish gangsters, and successfully exploded two transportation trucks, engaged in battle with the dictatorial military, and annihilated most of them, pursuing the rest.

The events consist in clear indication of two important developments:

1. Tyrant Zenawi loses territorial control over his country. By now he probably controls less than 50% of Ogaden. His untrained, unprepared, tribal and ailing army collapses in Somalia, and inside their tyrannical abode.

Perspicaciously examining the recent developments, one should ask the question:

- Was the US advise (Albright’s December 2006 visit) for an adventure in Somalia the US trick that would finally trigger the end of Fake Ethiopia?

Only a mendacious ‘friend’ would advise a country to undertake a project that is not up to that country’s potentialities, and that can only bring forth that country’s unavoidable end.

UN to organize Referendum for Ogaden’s Independence!

In view of the recent events in Somalia, and the expansion of the anti-Abyssinian reaction among nations of all backgrounds and religions, and in order to avoid one more genocide on African soil, the UN Security Council should immediately call for a Referendum to be organized throughout Ogaden, ensured by UN forces’ presence, whereby the Ogadeni population would express their willingness to live in an independent country.

For what would be the purpose of Ogadenis achieving independence after radicalization, escalation of the genocide, wars, casualties, extremism, and help received from al Qaeda?

We republish here the news as first published in Ogaden Online.

Ethiopian Miltary Burns Down the town of Laasdoole

May 17, 2007 Reports reaching our service desk from Ogaden confirm the burning down of the entire town of Laasdoole by a contingent of Ethiopian military and an associated militia. It is reported that all the meager resources owned by the local citizenry burned down as well.

It is reported that there were also human casualties, including the former chairman of the town council Mr. Duulane Guuleed Carab. Also some of the names of the dead civilians who have been extra judicially killed include Adan Mohamed Canshuur and Jaacuur Fataax.

Ogaden Online reporter in the city of Wardheer reports that the displaced civilians from Laasdoole are now squatting outside the town with no access to shelter, food and drinking water.

In related news, Ogaden National Liberation Army, ONLA, is said to have

responded to the extra judicial killings and mass civilian displacement carried out by the Ethiopian military. Eyewitnesses confirm that heavily armed contingent of ONLA attacked the Ethiopians who carried out the mass murder.

After a heavy firefight between ONLA and the Ethiopian military around

Laasdoole, it is reported that two transport trucks were destroyed by ONLA. Both of these trucks were transporting army personnel as well as military supplies, which is said to have been destroyed.

Eyewitnesses from this firefight confirm that the Ethiopians who burned down Laasdoole have totally been annihilated by ONLA. Few who escaped from this firefights are said to have been pursued by ONLA in the surrounding vicinity.

Darfuran Genocide is priority at the moment in my book. Over 400,000 total killings. Stats say 2,500 killings ( approx. ) a day. All genocides need to be stopped, but i'm workin on Darfur myself.

Over 400,000 total killings.
Even those that have made those false, politically motivated "estimates" attribute the deaths to disease rather than actual violence. According to the Republic of Sudan, barely 9000 have been killed by the fighting from all sides.

Omar al-Bashir, the president of Sudan, has said there is no humanitarian crisis in Darfur and that less than 9,000 people had been killed there during the four years of conflict.

He disputed the findings of latest reports on the situation in the region, rejected talk of genocide and said violence stemmed from tribal tensions and drought.

Al-Bashir said via a video media conference on Monday: "The figure of 200,000 dead is false and the number of dead is not even 9,000.

"All the figures have been falsified and the child mortality rate in Darfur does not exceed that in Khartoum."

There is no genocide in Darfur. Rather, there is a civil war.

One aspect of the war is a conflict over water and land usage between nomadic groups, who subsist by raising livestock and who travel long distances for grazing, and settled farming groups. These nomadic groups are the groups that are identified by the corporate media as being the source of the so-called “Arab Janjaweed”. These nomadic groups are some of the most marginalized people in the world. The town-dwellers in Darfur have traditionally looked down on them and pejoratively labeled them as “Bedouins” which has often been translated into English as Arabs. It is true that some, not all, of the settled groups in Darfur speak other African languages at home in addition to being educated in Arabic, but they are Muslims in an Arabic-speaking country and many of them are better educated in the Arabic language than even mono-lingual Arabic speaking nomads.

That you insinuate that you are agitating for the invasion of Sudan means that you are aligned with imperialism and are opposing the interests of the proletariat. You have adopted the stance of the likes of the Neo Con think tank Project for a New American Century which has been agitating for the invasion of Sudan for quite some time.

One guy at the Phora had a sig where it stood written: "Solidarity with the Janjaweed and the Republic of Sudan".

Do you happen to be a phora export product?

That was extremely informative and I thank you for that. Here I go again believing all the shit I'm told. I got those stats from the official Save Darfur Coalition, so I believed them reliable. I've been told the Sudanese have actually killed 400,000 Darfurans not counting disease victims.

Okay, what about the Jews in the holocaust who died of typhoid fever then? Should we derive them from the equation?

Yeah..really. NY Times columnists and others have obviously overstated things but I'd still take anything the President of Sudan says with a heaping bowl of salt.

Do you have some proof that PNAC has been agitating for an invasion of Sudan for a long time? I wouldn't be surprised, but you're assessment of Sudan as somehow representing the proletariat is absurd, the mere fact that they are opposed to the US does not make them in any way oriented towards the proletariat. Not to mention that the US isn't as antagonistic towards Sudan as the media would have you believe, to some degree their economic partners.

god, PNAC is such an insane organization. reading their website made me wanna cry. the US media (controlled by the US, of course) has been ranting about "genocide" just so the US can have a reason for involvement in the area. god knows what it is, though. (sarcasm on last sentence)
