I know that there exists different ideologies even within communism and socialism. Does anyone know of any books that explains the differences and similarities of the different communist/socialist factions?

Socialism is actually a pretty vague word these days but within a larger perspective, communism is a branch of socialism i.e. worker's control/management. However, socialism has now be used mainly to describe democratic socialists or people who want state controlled ownership of the means of production.

As far as books, I don't know of any that concentrate on this topic as this is primarily basic material.

Thanks for the links. Looking for researched books though. I'll check out my local library.
