check it out. I DIDN'T COME UP WITH THIS... found it on an other forum...

China is pissed by the U.S. for whatever reason. They approach Mexico and say they want to build lots factories in Mexico for the manufacture of cheap good to import into the U.S. As this would highly benefit the Mexican Government, they agree. However, China realizes that Mexico’s transportation routes are not satisfactory and convinces the Mexican Government to upgrade these routes into multi-lane highways, and provides economic incentives. Now, Mexican construction companies need lots of laborers.

Able bodied men are quickly recruited, but they still fall short. Eventually, wages go up far enough that now illegal aliens here in the U.S. are temped by the high paying jobs back home. They voluntarily allow themselves to be deported, saving themselves the expense. Now American companies cannot find enough workers to work the fields, hotels, etc. China approaches the U.S. to establish a guest worker program with Chinese peasants, relieving their population pressure. This eventually leads to lifted restrictions on the amount of children couples can have in China.

Who wins this war?

Ok. i read this a few times. and I don't really get it. LOL. at the end he ask who wins this war.. what war? mentions restrictions of couples having children being lifted, China using mexico for Cheap Labour? to import to the U.S. that would be even more expensive? considering Mexico is fucking far from China.. and China is a zest pool for cheap labour anyways.. wait.. im confused.

The problem is that both China and the US depend on eachother. China exports cheap goods to the US and imports little, while the US receives investment money from Chinese "nouveau riches". If one gets into trouble, the other will folow. The quote you gave us illustrates in another way how much both depend on eachother.

What was the context of the post? Was the writer trying to say that's what happening or were they trying to make a point by saying that's what could happen?

I'm pretty sure it was a hypothetical situation.

I think the writer meant some sort of economic "war" between the US and China.

I can't make much out of it either. China currently does have several factories in Mexico and has invested heavily in the area so there is bilateral trade between the two. However, I doubt such a situation as this would unfold as it would require inordinate amounts of investment from China not to mention the fact that wages would still stay low regardless.
