Hello Comrades, thought I'd be considerate enough to post an introduction. Sadly most people I know hate anything to do with communism, except for a few. I'm very open about my political ideas and most people don't like that about me. FYI I got kicked out of my house for being too much of a communist, it was time for me to leave anyway but oh well. I live in an area in the United States that isnt very open to it and so I get mocked a lot for my political ideas. Fortunately enough the person I'm dating is a communist. Enough of my ranting. I hope to speak with my fellow Comrades on this site and get to know everyone!

Welcome to the site. I live in a reactionary area of England so I share your, and ahab's, pain in that respect.
We'd appreciate no posts about abortion whatsoever, never, ever, ever, ever lol, Nah post whatever you want (well no not whatever you want, posting that we're all bastards and left-wing lunatics would not make you too popular). In other words ignore what I'm saying and do what you like (other than proclaiming your love for Adolf Hitler and going out and shooting random workers). In fact my best advice is to express your opinion (provided your opinion is that of a leftist and not a religious, bigoted fascist and you believe that all Atheists are the product of the devil and abortion is an abomination - Hot topic atm btw).
:D If you can make sense of half of what I said you're ready to start posting on the forums

P.S. I'm only pissing about we're all good people who make a lot of sense - to see this statement contradicted all too graphically visit Chit-chat - which is a brilliant way to get to know us better. Live Chat is even more fun.
Again, Welcome.

Thanks for the welcoming, Comrades.
ahab and JohnnyDarko- I live in Wisconsin. It's booming with capitalists. I run into people who think being a communist is the same thing as being a fascist. Most people I happen to meet or talk to believe Hitler was a communist. It shows how some people are not only dumb but don't have a clue about what communism is. The other thing that bothers me is there are conservatives/liberals I meet who say that neo-liberalism is freedom, when they are the ones who create the class divisions and eliminate freedom for anyone who isn't a capitalist. Then the Liberals say they want to help the poor, but in truth, if they did, they wouldn't be against revolution, because as Lenin says, “When there is a state there can be no freedom, but when there is freedom there will be no state.”
what flavor of commie are you?
I'm a Marxist-Leninist.
luxemburg89- I hope to get to know everyone here, you made me feel at home already! But I'm definitely not a fascist. You know how Lenin says, "Fascism is Capitalism in decay." Well, it is, and I'm an Atheist. Have been my entire life, the only times I've been in a church were when I was a child, and even then I never believed in god. Religion is only a tool used to manipulate the minds of the masses.

Welcome to RevLeft. I'm an M-L in the Netherlands, we're coming back all over the world. :D
Hitler was not a communist or even socialist of any form. He was, of course, a fascist.
When he came to power, Goebbels wrote: "With that, we have removed the year 1789 from history." Because the fascist movement reversed all the gains of the French Revolution.
What little left-wing sentiment existed among the nazis (in the SA, that is) was eliminated with the Night of the Long Knives, because Hitler decided that the support of the big industrialists (Krupp, Thyssen, etc.) was of more importance than the anti-capitalist rhetoric that was previously used. With the communists and socialists eliminated, and the SA destroyed as well, the labour movement was also gone (or co-opted by the nazis), and the fascist system could be put into full gear without such "complications".
I'm sure you already know most of this, but it's always good to get to the bottom of the issue. :) Hitler was simply not a left-winger in any sense of the word, you can bring up all of the above next time someone claims that.
Neo-liberalism being "freedom" is the same kind of nonsense that is thrown around without much thinking. We're certainly not seeing it here in Europe. Look at the German chancellor Merkel, who wants to undemocratically push through a new treaty with all the liberalizing reforms of the EU Constitution that France and the Netherlands voted against 2 years ago. Or the police brutality against anti-G8 protesters.

Nice to meet you!
I have tried to explain and reason with people who think Hitler was a socialist. Most people are completely confused by what I'm talking about - but that's because they haven't ever read anything that defines socialism, like for example one of Karl Marx's writings. I tried to get my parents to read Marx when I was living at home but they refused, like it was "bad" or something. And of course, the following day I came home wearing propaganda and got kicked out of the house. My father is a fascist, at least I think he is. He supports President Bush with everything he owns and sickly enough he's a Nationalist, and thinks the poor ask to be poor. Makes me want to puke. But he would never admit it.
But I completely agree, the EU Constitution is complete bullcrap. I hate it even more that Sarkozy won the French Election, another idiot in power.

Thanks. lol. most people who know me are afraid of me, or they think I'm nuts. I got kicked out of the house for being "pro-Lenin". Pretty lame. I thought maybe I'd get kicked out for underage drinking or something but nope, for being a communist. My mother is afraid of atheists. She thinks they are sent from Satan or something. My father thinks Stalin was a carbon-copy of Lenin, and hates Lenin with everything he owns. He basically called me a Leninist and put all my stuff in the garage so I knew it was time for me to leave. I was living with fucking fascists. The worst part was when my capitalist uncle came from florida and I talked to him for like 5 minutes and he then asked me what i was studying at university and i told him i'm studying political science/philosophy, and the entire time after that he went on about "those damn communists" i was ready to kill him, i was so angry. next thing i know he's emailing me his wall street journal articles he reads and i emailed him telling him i dont read corporate bullshit. he never emailed me back.
anyway i look forward to talking to you again.
