http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/global...ourth_gene.html (http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2004/05/4gw_fourth_gene.html)

Both are a bit long and the first is a bit conservative but both links outline the purpose and method of FGW.

Why do I post this here?
Beacause any revolution in a First world industrialized nation Is going to be 4th gen.

The Casus belli of FGW will be Political, Religious and Ethnic conflict.
Countries will not play a major part in these wars, but slowly fade away into Fractured city-states ruled by certain political movements, religious factions and races.

The base of action here is more "Hearts, Minds and Infrastructure" than actually fighting the enemy. Technology Will play an even more substantial role, regular fighting units (AFV, tanks, aircraft) replaced by small units of High class, High mobility infantry with extremely good Command, control and logistics. Control over cyberspace will be Perhaps the Deciding front of any war (Hacker brigades anyone?). Even now one can find almost Anything on the Internet, Imagine in 15 years, hundreds more sattleites, Millions more computers?

Hope this information Is useful.

Interesting...

But what would it entail in terms of a revolution.

How would a FGW revolution look like?

Would it actually be like the warfare described or could it be (slightly or majorly) different?

well, even civvie tech can be modified to suit military uses, and Augmented Reality devices are gonna become quite popular in the next 10-15 years. A little knowledge can go a long way when you have tiny wireless devices and have L33t hackers on your side.

Kind of organized Chaos I suppose.

RTS players will be In high demand I think. :D
