Ubernationalist fucktard.

Maybe I'll calm down enough to post rationally on him later, but he really makes me angry.

Reactionary ultranationalist killer, plain and simple.

In what ways does your family idolise this guy?

Some folks in the different countries that made up Yugoslavia remember him fondly for trying to keep the republic (under which they had much better standards of living, and general conditions were much better, etc.) together.

The thing is, he undermined the Republic by using the Yugoslav People's Army to advance purely Serbian interests.

I don't think you'll find anyone on this forum who supports the man.

I know a man who has learned Serbian. That is how dedicated he is on the issue of Milošević and Kosovo. He believes that Kosovars engaged in ethnic genocide against Serbians, etc. He even went to Milošević's funeral when he visited Serbia. He is also very critical of Trotskyists, etc if you're curious.

Well Yugoslavia was a multi ethnic state, then you get the various groups who turn uber nationalistic and start killing each other off. Crimes happened on both sides and its not something I would support simply because one of them had the nametag "socialist".

However in the Western world they will try as hard as possible to ignore the crimes commited by the other sides and just blame everything on the "socialist" Serbians. <_<

Of course, the fact that Kosovo has undergone a worse "ethnic cleansing" than ever before, under the watchful eye of the NATO, is kept rather quiet in the media. Check out Michael Parenti:

It is important to remember that NATO vastly exaggerated the deaths under Milosevic...I think they only proved the death of a couple hundreds of people. NATO, however, exaggerated the number greatly to justify the subsequent war that cost the lives of 200,000+ people.

What started the war in the Balkans? Do you know?

I don't think you'll find anyone on this forum who supports the man.

Think again.

Also the book called "Monopoly" by Michel Collon in great reference material

Well people were certainly better off (for the most part obviously) before Yugoslavia broke up, but I am not sure if you can really dexcribe Milosovic's actions as trying to keep the republic together so much as trying to force all the countries in the republic (which were previously equal partners) under Serbian domination. Tito, the man was not.

I doubt he has much support outside of Serbia. I have spoken to a few Croation's abut him and they regard him as a large part of the reason why things got worse and fell apart, rather than as a man who tried to save Yugoslavia.

I'm slowly building an archive of all the articles posted on Pravda1917-2007 (see signature).

Here are seven articles defending Milosevic:
