Where is society going?
That`s what i wanna know! Socialism is in mind of many, but can we really change our society into socialism?
I think we can, i don`t lose my hope, but i really think we have to change a lot of things in the process...
Is our society, losing itīs morallity, or ethics?
I think that now there are less idealistic people in our world, we have turned into a mecanic being, we are just happy if we have a job, a pretty house, etc... We are changing into extreme materialism.

[We are going the wrong way to build a better future society!]

The American society is becoming less and less free everyday. The Bush Regime is restricting our rights, left and right. Since numerous citizens of the world have gotten a taste of freedom, I don't think not-free societies will ever be able to thrive again. However, this does not rule out democratic socialism/communism...in fact I feel people really seeking freedom would prefer that instead of the current supposedly "Free" societies which exist today.

I think it boils down to the 'Freedom of' instead of 'Freedom from'. In the Western World you have the Freedom of Speech, but you are not Free from Oppression, you have the Freedom of Association but not the Freedom from Poverty. It is not taht we are not free, it is just that we are free to do a limited number of things.

From what I have been led to believe through the postings of some people here and some media articles, the freedom of people in the US is suffering horrible, horrible constrictions at the moment. Britain seems to be following suit, and also here in Ireland, the government has instigated big brother style legislation.

With the upcoming war and, I suspect, some sort of infringment of US (or perhaps British) soil, the rights of people will be restricted as a result of the terror and what not. The rest seem to follow the US lead.

Hopefully the few good regimes will prosper in their benevolence.
