Name: Daniel or Dan, doesn't matter.
Age: I'm 19, just a damn kid.
Location: Colorado, USA. Leaving soon.
Hobbies: Literature, mostly on politics and philosophy. Also, any kind of physical activity.
Something Weird: New-born communist. Although I have read about politics for years, I did not match my ideals and convictions to communism until about a year ago.
Religion: Just one more way to make the proletariat docile and conformist. But if it makes people happy with their current, and most likely future, state, then i see nothing wrong with it.
Economic View: I think liberal and free market are very similar, and they almost seem like Capitalism with a speecious ring to it. I believe in no private ownership, with government overseen and regulated markets.
Social Views: I like the thought of libertarianism, but both consequentialists and rights theorists are too lackadaisical. Being so laid back allows people to lose sight of the greater good, and become selfish and greedy. And authoritarian becomes a way for those who seek only power, to gain said power. I believe in direct democracy. The people should have say in all important decisions that are being made.
Political Influences: My biggest influence would have to be Karl Marx, and in far second, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov. Through his lust for power and rule, his coersion and deception actually made a lot of sense. Too bad he was just a facade of a great leader.
Biggest criticism of contemporary radical leftist politics: I am unenthusiastic about the fact that our words are all we have. Communism has lost its fire, and we sat indolently by and allowed it.
Sidenote- I'd just like to say that I appreciate what this website does, and how it does it; in a logical and proper way. I look forward to posting more in the near future.
