Heyah, my name for the purposes of surfing online is Lark, I'm from Ireland, the north coast, I'm interested in genre fiction, sci fi, fantasy, horror and political writing of all descriptions.

I'm interested in both individualism and socialism and dont see them as necessarily being at odds or in conflict, I'm interested in social theory too, psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, the lot and it can make for some interesting conversations.

My politics, well, if there were an iSocialist phenomenon like the iFeminist one it would be one I would be very interested in, I'm most influenced by Eric Fromm's books, an old book by Evan Luard called "Socialism Without The State" and another one "Anarchy, Liberty and Community", I cant remember the author and I've temporarily (I hope) misplaced the book, I'm also a fan of George Orwell and Orwell's biographer Bernard Crick, the pragmatic anarchist Colin Ward would be an influence too and most recently I read The Future of Socialism by Anthony Crosland.

I'm not here to offend anyone, I dont think that an online forum is going to be the place that anyone has a transformative experience opinion wise, I'm here to hang out meet people and share views. I've frequented a couple of forums online and hope this is as good an experience as those were.

Hey man, I'm from Belfast. We have a disproportionate amount of Irish members on this board for some odd reason...enjoy yourself anyway. Let me know if you're in Belfast any time if you want to meet up for some political activity.

Hey hey and welcome to RevLeft. Glad to see new members, and I hope you stick around.

Your politics sound interesting and I hope you participate in some of the threads in Learning and Theory.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that anarchists have more fun, not only this, surveys (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=66540) suggest (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=66813) that lots of other folk agree with my assessment. :AO:

So, stick around, have fun, break some cop car windows and don't get caught!
