I am writing a detailed paper on "The role of anarchism in a postmodernist society". I am up to the point of discussing contemporary organisations and events that are a demonstration of anarchist action. But I need to be talking about how anarchism functions within society, and how anarchism seeks to replace capitalism with liberation. These were some notes of what I thought of talking about

How anarchist groups and organisations function within society and the effect that has.
How anarchism is effectively post modernist.
The alternative anarchism seeks to replace capitalism with.
Discussion of functionalist theory, how anarchism fits into this theory and creates social change.
Anarchism as being effective within established communities and revolutions within the micro world.
Development into a contemporary society.

If anyone had some good resources, especially online, I would appreciate it so much. Or if anyone has suggestions in regards to my ideas? Thanks :)

Perhaps the Zapitistas would eb a good place to start.
Zabalaza Anarchist Communist Federation (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=131844575)
Or the Anarchists in New Orleans.
The IWW (http://www.iww.org)

NEFAC (http://www.nefac.net/)
Anarkismo (http://www.anarkismo.net) (I think thats how it's spelt).
Anarchist Federation (http://www.af-north.org/)

Okay, so those are a few you can look up. I haven't many links, but they wont be to hard to find.

Most of those groups outline their tactics, how they wish to change society, and to what, etc, etc, etc.

yeah, oky. Sorry if its not exactly what you were looking for.

For actions:
Ungdomshuset and the whole social center movement, infoshops, Argentinean factory occupations, 1999 Seattle, and the big wammy May 1968 [ Foucault, Sartre, Althusser: a triple-entente running around with rioting workers, students, and all other kinds of groups ].

Also, if you type in Anarcho-Syndicalism into wikipedia, a whole heap of groups who are "in action" (or something) are listed near the bottom of the page.
I assume it would be the same for Anarchists ('chism), Anarchist communism, anarch feminism, etc, etc.

:)
