View Full Version : Design a Graphic for World Revolution Media!

So I'm interested in prospectively creating a t-shirt to promote the World Revolution Media project (revmedia.net), which distributes free revolutionary movies, music, and art from around the world. There is a big need to raise funds for the project to pay for the server, all of the media we've been purchasing, etc.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in assisting in the creation of a graphic to go on the t-shirts. I'm thinking maybe something of the style of the cultural revolution. Maybe something that combines depiction of revolutionary struggles around the world... I'm pretty open to see anyones contributions.

Thanks!

I have an idea.

What if you use like the RIM logo of the globe launched as a bullet to break the chains, but instead of chains use Network Cables (UTP)

And use a similar slogan like; "break the cencorship, we have a WWW to win - RevMedia.net "

Will something like this suffice?

I keep thinking of a pair of upreaching shckeled arms, Marx's hand reaches down toward them and as the tip of the pen in Marx's hand touches the chains they burst apart. But don't expect me to try to make an image of it.

How would you be able to tell if it were Marx's hand?

Nah. People would be more likely to mistake it for God's 'hand' which would obviously give the wrong insinuations. Unless you put a hammer and sickle on the sleeve or something.
I always liked the image of the working man smashing the chains with his hammer.

his face would have to show. perhaps the script could clearify this without his face.
actually I think of this as a sculpture with Marx at his writting desk and the oppressed coming up to him from some kind of hell. You can tell I think in 19th cent. visual terms can't you.
