im a freshman in highschool, and it sucks. people here constantly brag about who they fuck and what they where, and how rich mommy and daddy are. and some asshole told everyone about my political beliefs(im a communist) so now i am constantly getting bombarded with stupid questions and these stupid shits are calling me a nazi because theyre to fuckin ignorant and stupid enough to tell the difference.
Yeah, get used to it. I've already gone through my four years of it... now off to five more in college.
The main problem in America is that people don't realize how un-democratic the country really is. What is their only image of communism? The USSR. Why? Because the government doesn't want any other view to be seen.
In the past four years we've gone over communism twice, both times in the context of the Russian Revolution, and both times we were given sections of the Manifesto. But only sections. What sections? The parts about tearing things down, about bring down the capitalist structure. Why? Because they sound bad. The kids fear losing everything and being dragged into poverty (because this is being coupled with Stalinism teachings). I finally got so fed up with it, I brought it my trusty copy of the Manifesto and began to read, aloud, the parts of the manifesto we skipped... that parts about bringing equality, the parts about democracy, the parts that drive us to believe what we do.
Kids were shocked. Aboslutely shocked. Better yet, I went on a campaign against our school administration putting up anti-fascist signs (much to the chagrin of the administration) and began speaking about anarchism.
What are kids in the US taught about anarchism? Nothing. Anarchism to them is running around with a M60 blowing away your neighbors. Absolute insanity.
The fact that they confused you with a Nazi (something that has often happened with me) only points out how stupid and uneducated Americans really are. But beyond that, their constant blirting of the sexual conquests, bah! Proves nothing more than they are chovenistic pigs. I go by a basic principle: If the kids in my school think it is wrong, it is probably right. Seems like it will work in your school too.
Cheers.
