Dick Cheney Will Be Speaking At West Point
SATURDAY, MAY 26

Join The World Can’t Wait Drive Out the Bush Regime and many others in demonstrating against this world-class war criminal:

March and Rally: 8:30 am Saturday, May 26

Demand:

STOP THE WAR NOW!
Impeach Bush and Cheney for War Crimes
Assemble in Veteran's Park, Highland Falls, NY AT 8:30 AM

March to West Point

Dick Cheney is one of the principal architects of the Bush Regime’s blood-soaked agenda of war, torture, empire, and repression. His commencement speech at West Point, the home of the United States Military Academy, comes at a time when the regime is—through its opposition to any timetable for withdrawal from Iraq and its heightened threats against Iran— attempting to forge this global agenda into a permanent and unchallenged reality.

We must come out en masse on May 26 in order to forcefully repudiate not only the fascist behind the microphone, but the fascist program he is trying to convert into a new normalcy.

World Can’t Wait is organizing car pool to demonstration from New York City:
Gather at 6:00 AM (sharp) on 32nd Street, just west of 5th Avenue, Manhattan.

If you have a car and provide seats for others, call us with information on how many people you can bring, etc. 347-678-5905

The Bush Regime's office will probably expire befor WCW drives them out.

Anyway, yeah, Cheney should be tried for war crimes.

yeah but that's not the point. The point is to literally violently drive them out, or to impeach them by the pressure of a mass mobilization in order to set a precident that the masses will not stand for imperialist wars and colonial occupations of countries throughout the world and that the next president or the president after that won't feel entitled to just lie and kill hundreds of thousands of people, and get away with it like nothing happened.

[My emphasis]

For real?

In Philly they do is "call ins" "letter campaigns" to "our" representatives "demanding" them to do something, or in reality, anything. They also organize an airing of grievances in which they come together with signs and banners again telling those in office to do something.

I would bet it is the same for other WCW chapters. One reason I can guess this is because they use the same fliers, lefflets, etc. which communitcates these things.

None of this is at all "violent" and none of it seems to cause any pressure from mass mobilization. Though, it does seem to be quite ineffective and liberal in practice.

It's not liberal, its anti-imperialist and anti-fascist. Right now the World Can't Wait is involved in impeaching the bush regime because that's how the people send the message that this is not something we will allow to be legitimized, however the ultimate goal is to literally drive out the bush regime what will that take? Well millions of people on the streets fighting against this regime and All it stands for. Right now we don't have that support. We do have thousands and thousands and large amounts of people who are there at emergency demonstrations but we need alot more and this is the first step. liberalism asks for reformism. I've yet to see the World Can't Wait claim the democrats are the way out or something like that. Instead, the World Can't Wait makes it clear in their call that the democrats WON'T be our saviors, that we need independent mass mobilization. What will this look like? well my party the Revolutionary Communist Party thinks that it'll be a situation in which a real opportunity for proletarian revolution will erupt
