I have been messing around with music for awhile, and I have recently releashed some music on purevolume. Its kind of hip-hopish/experimental, music. I think it is worth listening to. Some constructive critism would be cool too.

I don't like hip - hop, well I hate it to be honest and so I don't think I'll listen to it as any criticism would be biased. But what I wanna say is that I really respect the fact you have put it up here and opened yourself up to criticism. Good one mate.

They are alright. Diminishing was the best. Overall they sounded a lot like loops that were just put together. The thing about putting loops together is that you get no nuances that you would get when a band plays together. Maybe if you added some effects and breaks to the rythmns it would sound a little more lively but as of now it goes..... loop A then loop B then Loop A... etc.

Maybe it could go something like loop A..... pause delay on the trumpet and then come back in big with loop B. Something to give it some life or flavor. Anyways what did you make the songs on? I finally just got myself pro tools and my stuff is coming along well. I will make one of those pure volume sites one of these days.

I plan to add more breaks, solos, and all of that stuff because I completely agree with you. But, it becomes much more difficult to change it up when you try to make a "bandsworth" of music by yourself. I also plan to get some vocals on here, which could solve the problem.

Currently, I just use ACID Pro, a casio keyboard, and a drum machine. Occasionally I'll through some bongos and guitars in.

Shamrock, if you ever kickstart your music, im down to collaborate.
