It may only be minor but ****face Griffin was banned from speaking at the University of Bath on monday after threats of widespread protests from students, unions and the general public. The people of Bath and the students of the University emfatically said no to the lies and spreading of hatred by the poisoness fat man who is the head of the BNP.
Unfortunately it was a hollow victory as a clandestine meeting still went ahead at an unkown location.

Its an inspiration...shows that if we act in solidarity as a class then we can kick the BNP out

this is great, and I would not call it "minor", in my opinion it is quite significant. Who cares about the clandestine meeting - those who attend such meetings are mostly already nazi scum. But the protest prevented would have been the expansion of their poison to others - much worse.

Hmm. Why do I feel this is a very hollow victory? Yes, you prevented the fool from speaking publicly, but at the same time you have prevented a fool from speaking publicly. Isn't that what free speech is all about, letting fools speak themselves hoarse if they wish, so long as a clever person can speak against them? Remember McCarthey? Remember how he persecuted Conmmunists? It wasn't right then when it was Communists being silenced, spied on and 'outed', it isn't right now, even if they are facists.
To say that they are spreading 'poison', is to assume that the working class people 'poisoned', are stupid, of a lower intelligence. It is tantamount to suggestion that Communists are slightly clever than other people because we can see what is 'really going on'. By all means protest against the policies of Griffen, but you can't prevent him from speaking.
To any students from this university. I sincerely hope you think about holding a student festival, or something of that nature. That would give a great platform to discuss anti-racism, and anti-fascism.
