Tunnel Warfare is a Chinese film made in the 1950s which celebrates the heroism of the masses of people in the Chinese liberated area who resisted the Japanese Fascists and Imperialism through protracted People's War and Tunnel Warfare. The film can be found Here (http://www.revmedia.net/tw.html). If you give it a chance you really get into it. I highly reccomend it.

Despite all the "facts" shown to me about the battle that took place (I was even shown a miniature model of the underground tunnels) I had always wondered why didn't the Japanese just bomb the tunnels or set fire to the whole village?
I'm still unsure if this actually did occur. It's likely that the story's been exaggerated, methinks.
