I voted world revolution and communist tactics.
I voted Open Letter but I really want to read some Luxemburg.
Perhaps we should make a Rosa Luxemburg Reading & Discussion Group after this one if one of her works doesn't get elected here.

I voted Open Letter. I don't really like Luxemburg's writing style. She kind of reads like a brick but she's very lucid and has very good warnings for the communist movement.

Can I join?
I would prefer anything from Anton Pannekoek.
I suppose I'll vote World Revolution and Communist Tactics. (but would'nt mind Workers Councils [book])

Yes, Luxemburg seems very interesting. I would like to read Rosa on the Russian revolution once.

Cause I got exams within 3 weeks.
I will be leaving home on Thursday and I will be back in ten days - I don't think I will have time to post messages in the meanwhile. We can start now if everyone wants to, or we can wait for a month or so if you guys prefer until everyones exams are over.

Can I add another work for study?
Ironically, this work is by Lenin himself, but I like to link it with my thread Why not an international socialist party? Internationals are too antequated (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=65355&view=findpost&p=1292298744).

We had a study group on this a while back now.
What is to be done? (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=61969&st=0). It didn't go far.

^^^ Nobody seems to be interested in studying Lenin these days, even if he slips in a few left-communist remarks. :(

And Leo, do you agree with Hammer that it presents a "left-communist" Lenin?
Well, technically speaking, "left communism" did not exist when Lenin wrote that but it is very well known that Lenin was on the left-wing of the Second International and on the left-wing of the Bolshevik Party (especially against Kamanev-Zinoviev-Stalin who called for supporting the Kerensky government and the imperialist war in order to support the "progressive-nationalist" bourgeoisie after the February revolution), and of course, internationally he was close to the left wing of the Second International, which, in the future, became the left wing of the Communist International.

I've been away for a while but I'm still game.
We are going to start on Monday if it's cool for everyone. I will send PMs to everyone who posted on the thread and who has shown interest.

I'll try to find a copy in Dutch, that would make it easier for me to analyse.
