i want to do SOMETHING in my area...what can I do?
I dont have time to join a group, and the nearest is the othr side of town.

What else can I do...at the elections I did some anti-BNP posters locally

You might consider putting on a monthly rally to encourage the local wage-labourers to begin questioning their enslavement. Or make and advertise a website for the same purpose.

even if you dont have time to formally join a group you can try to cooperate with them. they might have posters you can get around or you join single events when you find the time

There must be some local issues/actions that you can get involved in; it doesn't necessarily have to be radical leftist in nature.

Take over it and make it a leftist movement lol - nah i know how difficult that is. Try writing stuff, attending rallies when you can - there must be summing going down in Caerdyff (I dunno how far from it you are though). Being part of this site is something - when you see the opportunity take it - try writing articles for the local paper/attend local debates that sort of thing.

I would suggest doing somethiing substancial, and long term, like organising a group. But it sounds like you want to do stunts?

:(

leftism
A lot of people are sceptical, dismisive or dont giva fuck about leftism. I want to defeat the steriotypical images of communism and anarchism and promote class conciousness

"Converts to leftism" is a bit of a mad way of putting it.

But don't waste your time propogating some abstract "leftism" , working people like us have real problems, that demand real solutions.

You're appealing to idealistic middle class youth quite well in doing propaganda stunts. They might be interested in your idealisitc, pie-in-the-sky posters and slogans. But even if working people agreed with your propaganda stunt you're still not offering a viable solution. No organised way of fixing problems. Just hollow rethoric.

So my advice is that, something is not better than nothing. Organise, or perfom stunts that fit into another groups overall plan, or do nothing.

You'd have to ask the group in question.

What possible poster could fix material problems like precarity, and bread and butter issues? They should really be trying to get people into organisations.

Make contact with a group of people who have the same political ideas. If you live to far to join them, make sure they know where you live so that if there is someone else in your neighbourhood that they can help you to contact that person.

join local initiatives, support local initiatives.
