We all come from different countries, different social backgrounds, and we are all very different people in our politics and lifestyles. Yet most of us share the common goal of the Utopia. We don't all agree on how to get their either. With the Democratic Socialists (I am sorry if it is opposite please correct and not flame) on one side, the hardcore Revolutionaries on another, and the, I will call them, Revolutionary Musicans on the third. Life is a triange. The Celts believed so, it is my belief as well. On the left we ahve the trimuniative of Moderates, Revolutionaries, and the Musicians. I make this thread to show how the Musicians fit into the left-wing picture, and why I believe this faction (although they do not know it) exists. Their are three aspects of the Musicain.
The first is harmony. As Che Geuvera said in his "Man and Socialism in Cuba" the people and government must come together with thier seperate chords and make music together. This harmony between indiviuals is the goal of the Musician.
The second aspect is anarachy. In music everyone is more or less equal. You sing because you want to. You play your trombone because you want to. You play your bagpipes because you want to. The Musician is searching for their own niche in society. To find this their can be [italic] no society [italic]. In the search for oneness you must forget what others will think and become so isolated from the others that they will infact benfit the rest of the community by doing what they do. The structured society gives way to the loosely tied together commune of equals.
The third aspect of the Musician is to be leftist. If a person tries to obtain the other two aspects of the Musician for their [italic] own [italic] good then they are CAPITALIST. When they strive to accomplish something for themselves they must use other people, or trample other people. But if they simply try to do what they do because they are good at it, not for any sort of profit, other then moral. Aswell the benifit of the community must come from these actions, not the benifit of the self. By fulfilling life as selflessly as possible, they will obtain the third aspect of being a musician.
So through Harmony, Anarchy, and Leftist means one becomes a Musician. Creating the music of society through selfless work that they do because they are good at it. I believe that this is what I am trying to obtain. To be a Musician. I think there are others on this board who HAVE obtained this. I cannot name them because I donnot know anyone past what they post.
This is my politcal 'utopia'. Please comment and question.

P.S. The main point is not music, but the message.

Some of your comments are quite insightful but perhaps too allegorical to quite get to the bottom of things.
I do not see myself as a utopian.
Modern philosophers talk about the ''Utopian impulse''.
No doubt there are things about the furure that are worthy of dreams but everything I want practically is entirely possible, moreso reasonable, moreso necessary.
Freedom from oppression for all and freedom to be all one can be for all(except an oppressor).
I think this what the left wants in general. No hassle, a peaceful life where everybodies creativity is encouraged by society. It is really very little to ask for.
It is a damned shame that it has to be fought for tooth and nail.

How to get it?
It seems to me we are at war against lies. The fact that people vote for and buy into a lying culture that equates wage slavery and freedom says to me the only alternative it to tell the truth.
One of the best ways to tell the truth is through music.
This perhaps when people like Bob Marley,John Lennon and Joe Strummer die or any of the voices that speak out for freedom, the vaccuum is felt, as so not many get record company recognition, there is more quality held down than pushed forward.
We just got to push on through.
