I can't find any other information then this article, but I'm sure that more information will come out as the day passes.
It doesn't surprise me that people are preparing to use arson and similar against the G8, however, I think that to call it "terrorism" goes a bit far. Meh, fuck capitalism.

A few more details have come out, and there are a few more articles (many of them just ripping off the Reuters).
Yahoo has an article from AP, which includes quotes from the Antifa, http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070509/ap_on_...u/germany_raids (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070509/ap_on_re_eu/germany_raids)
Canadian Press has a similar article, http://www.canada.com/topics/news/world/st...9bd357c&k=87498 (http://www.canada.com/topics/news/world/story.html?id=01fc2667-73c8-4df3-82d5-9173a9bd357c&k=87498) it may well be just the AP article with a bit of editing.
And Spiegel Online has a more general article, that doesn't include information about the "anti-terror" raids. http://www.spiegel.de/international/spiege...-481019,00.html (http://www.spiegel.de/international/spiegel/0,1518,druck-481019,00.html)

I gathered alot of information about this for my party, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Basically two anti-g8 groups in bremen and hamburg were searched by the police. it involved 900 cops. even the police says there was no information about concrete plans to attack the G8 meeting. It was a preventive search, justified by an anti-terrorism article in german law. Part of the "evidence" that lead to the search was a book called "autonome in bewegung" a book written by some men 60+ about the autonomous movement in germany.
the search had 3 purposes:
1) they wanted to divide the anti-g8 movement in "good" protestors and "bad" protestors
2) they wanted to scare people away from the protests
3) they wanted to spy the movement
1) and 2) were obviously a major failure, the mobilisation grew and unity among the movement was declared, the day after the searches there were thousands on the streets.
3) seemed to work out more effectivly. some of the accused had emails accounts at "so36". The police somehow didnt feel like online-spying the individual account but instead searched the server rooms and took the computers with them. a major coincidence in this is that large parts of the anti-g8 movement have their email accounts / websites at "so36"
