When i think of a perfect Utopia society, I think of a working commun where all people are equal and do their equal share of work.
politically everyone has a vote. But they don't vote for a representative person. they vote only on ideas.
There would be thousands of these communes over the world exchangeing - for free - their natural resources for others.
No one would have to urge to steal because every one would have the same amount of things. No one would need to kill because everyone is equal.

that's much like my own idea. people do their part, eveyone is equal, there would be a leader but ore of a representative who has no real power, power is for the people

1) There can be no such thing as a Utopia while we are human beings and that is a good thing
2) I think that there is one word to describe a near perfect society and that is "freedom" but what freedom is, is a completly new discussion.

I'm one of those "utopians" who think that communists SHOULD try to visualize communist society in as much detail as we can. Even if it turns out that we're wrong about this thing or that thing, it is still the best protection I can think of against getting some crap shoved down our throats "in the name of the revolution".
So, TFB and others, let your imaginations run loose and talk about how a real communist society, one that you would LOVE to live in, would work.
Go into detail and don't worry about being criticized; someday MILLIONS of people will be arguing about this stuff--get in on the ground floor NOW!
Forget about Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky and Mao--how would YOU do it?
[For a few of my ideas see the threads: "A Four Level Communism" (Politics) and "Free Market & Communism" (Theory)]

Exactly.
Personally, I don't waste my time thinking about Utopia.
It isn't a goal, I just want a more democratic society...

Originally Thomas More’s “Utopia” was just a story about the perfect classless society. Later utopian socialists appeared, such as Sen- Simon and Robert Owen. The utopian socialists created the base for Marx and Engels to start with. And the latter developed communistic teaching from utopia to the science.
So, if we have scientific theory, then why do we need to create utopia? It is just a waste of time. What really needs to be done is the creative development of the Marxist-Leninist theory, the development must be done according to the Marxist-Leninist principles , which are already known.
Your utopia will always stay only in your dreams, as you wouldn’t be able to find the ways of reaching true communistic society without knowing the scientific theory.
And, happyguy, you will send me your own “theory”, which I am sure will be opportunistic or revisionistic, or just simply utopian, and I will provide it with the constructive criticism. Will it be OK with you?

I often find myself dreaming about what society could be like and makes me sick to see what we're actually living in. But recently I have been thinking that there's no point in thinking & wishing - something has to be done! My intentions for life are to at least make an effort.
Within 2 years I should have paid my debts, saved enough money, and learnt a language to go somewhere and help the necesarry changes continue. It's there in my head and don't intend to back down, hopefully I will have found a few people to help along the way.
Stop talking, start fighting.

he was being sarcastic.
revolution hero, no need to be so dammed Marxist. *lol
society is changing. All of those scientific dialectical materialistic theories would not really be able to be successfuly applied to a modern society. I believe your on the right track in the sense that we can't just sit on our asses dreaming of magical happy lands where everyone has an equal amount of cheese and where we all live in little huts of magical happiness like smurfs. Of course not. That is ridiculous. But I think there should be a more revised scientific superstructure that can be applied to the society than basic Marxist-Lenninist policies. Not that they were a bad idea in anyway but they are just a little bit outdated for a society that is continually progressing *forward with new technological advancements and medical breakthroughs and what have you.
to put it simply, the most ideal utopia would be that of one using "community union socialist" (me and Gacky's socialism) ideals. *

How can any self proclaimed communist not consider what a communist utopia would be like. The whole point of being a communist, at least in my mind, is to make this world a better place. The only way to get there is to visualize the goal. Any communist who looses sight of the communist objective, looses sight of what she/he is.

We do not dream of a communist utopia because it cannot exist. Human beings are not perfect so we cannot create a perfect society. And as for creating a perfect society I would rather not. It is our imperfections that make people interesting and unique.

It depends what you mean by a Utopia, in my view no society can be absulutely pefect, but it can be close, if society is devided into small socialist communes, that interacy and rely on each other, and use a direct democratic system, in other words, community union socialism.

though perfection may be out of reach, humans have the ability to improve just about everything if we want. We may not be able to make a perfect society, but we can make it better and better until it's virtually perfect.
