Don't worry I did a search for it first and nothing came up so don't yell at me.

Does anyone know anything about wicca or does anyone practice wicca?

Yeah, RedCeltic used to be a Wiccan. It's a type of paganism mixed with witchcraft.

Wicca is a fad for kids who like to read magic books.

Funny stuff, but nothing to take seriously.

i tried to be a wiccan, but they kicked me out for making fun of them. something about "feeling the MOON in our WOMBS" and i just cracked up.

on the other hand, i've meet some "witches" that scared the piss out of me. i'm not sure if they had magic powers, radiated psychosis, or perhaps it's the same thing. in any case, i avoid the real thing.

I know the kind you mean and it's psychosis that they radiate.

I used to have slight interest in Wicca, but never really got too involved. Personally, Id be a druid over a wiccan any day. But I was more into Sufism and Zoroastrianism as a lad than wicca. Although, I must say, after watching "The Craft", I think weve all wanted to join up a bit.

Just imagine it, casting an evil spell on capitalism....

Wiccans are just RPGers who can't distinguish fantasy from reality.

i consider myself to be a neo-pagan, in my case that just means a revere nature. i like some wicca, but all that shit about doing magic (or should i say "Madgick", god thats ridiculous) and having covens is WEIRD.

I know a 23 year old guy who was a wiccan when he was 17, became a Christian at 19 and now he's a wiccan again.

He's a cock.

Mystery cult of prewar middle class spiritualism. The stuff in the bookstores is commercialized crap by non-initiates or outcasts. Not that the other kind is much better, but at least it's *authentic* crap.

I dated a wiccan a couple years back and my sister was one for awhile.

Generally speaking I'd say it's a belief system catering to young adults(most often girls) who feel a lack of control in their lives and the ability to perform rituals that supposedly control aspects of their life makes it a very appealing belief system.

i'd agree that often times it is practiced by kids who desire to create a reality for the fantasy games they play.

i think i heard that one of the guys from Godsmack was wiccan. aparently its more of a nature-based belief system than a "madgick" one. but then i dunno. my gf was going to be wiccan, but decided to be an eclectic pagan, which i think is a lot cooler (mostly cause of the largly sex based celebrations :D )

Yeah I'm a pagan, taking my personal favourite bits and pieces from wicca, druïdism, Shamanism and the whole deal.
For me my Paganism is completely integrated with my socialism. Paganism preaches respect to every living piece of earth, animal and human. And that last part, respect for your fellow human, every fellow human, no matter race, no matter nationality, no matter level of education, is an obvious type of 'international solidarity', which connects with socialism seemlessly.

Yeah. That doesn't surprise me at all.

If you want to discuss your ragtag joke of a religion though, open a new thread. There is no need for resurrecting anceint topics, even if necromancy is also part of your belief system.
