Ahoy hoy all, Tiparith here.

So my group put on a MayDay rally in Victoria here and the was about as many audience members as there were group members present (in case your wondering there was a total of like 5 audience members). So thats a kick in the balls but that won't stop us. Within a week I will be planning another one for late June early July. I think its important that people who are liberal or socialist get a good talking to about why their systems would still end in exploitation. So if anyone lives near here I hope to see you around and if you don't can I get any ideas. In the meantime I hope this thread gets used to generate ideas for other rallies or other Revleft users posting there rallies.

? May Day isn't until tomorrow. I really don't see how you could only get 10 people to come out in a city the size of Victoria, BCS.

We held our rally on the 28th of April specifically so that the working class could come out and enjoy the march and not be held up by work.

The really sad bit about no one coming is that we told all the major groups we know about it. And still we got nothing.

Were there also actions on May 1st though? If so that would explain why no one bothered to come out several days before. The fact that May 1st is mid-week doesn't mean people can't come out. Here in NYC the march began at 5:30pm so most people who work in the day and get out around 4 or 5 were able to come.
