Hi comrades,

I would like to get an anarchist logo like the one listed at the top left of your screen (black, not red, but I can make that change myself) to put on a t-shirt. Anyone have a link for this or could send me a nice graphic?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the A looks like it's from an alphabet spread along the walls of my first grade class...

This is a bit smoother than the stencil DB version

The grain/gear motif is nice, but the A looks like it was taken from a box of DUPLO. Anyone remember DUPLO?

Hi comrades,

I plan on making a shirt with an anarchist logo on the front and a little something on the back about anarchism in an attempt to perhaps make those that see it interested in anarchism or at least reconsider their initial thoughts on it. I'm thinking of putting something along these lines:

Anarchism, simply put, is the idea that words like "democracy" and "freedom" are more than just tools of the politician to make their ahistorical lies sound sweeter, but are actual social conditions that we should strive to implement

I'm really not sold on this wording though, especially the part about the politician and the ahistorical lies. I mean it's true, but I want the message to be as appealing to the masses as possible. Any ideas?

Can anyone help me with the text I'd like to put on the back? I'm thinking of putting something along these lines:

I'm really not sold on this wording though, especially the part about the politician and the ahistorical lies. I mean it's true, but I want the message to be as appealing to the masses as possible. What I want is to make people think and reconsider their views of anarchism. To the majority of Americans anarchism is a punk idealogy whose sole purpose is to wear black. I'd like to change that stereotype as much as I can. Any ideas?

On anarchism, ive always been a fan of this quote... its long but... if you like you could just take snippets or something:

Anarchism poses the question not simply of a struggle between classes based upon economic exploitation. Anarchism is really posing a much broader historical question; that even goes beyond our industrial civilization, not just classes – but hierarchy.

Hierarchy as it exists in the family; Hierarchy as it exists in the school; Hierarchy as it exists in sexual relationships; Hierarchy as it exists between ethnic groups.

Not only class divisions based upon economic exploitation, and it is concerned not only with economic exploitation – it is concerned with domination.

Domination that might not even have any economic meaning at all. The domination of women by men, in which women are not economically exploited. The domination of ordinary people by bureaucrats, in which you may even have welfare, a so-called socialist type of state. Domination as it exists today in china, even when you’re supposed to have a classless society.

So these are the things that I noted in anarchism, and increasingly I came to the conclusion that if we are to avoid the mistakes that were made over 100 years of proletarian socialism; if we are to really achieve a liberatory movement, not simply in terms of economic questions, but in terms of every aspect of life; we would have to turn to anarchism, because it alone posed the problem, not merely of class domination, but hierarchical domination. And it alone posed the question not simply of economic exploitation, but exploitation in every sphere of life."

Anarchism: The idea that words like "democracy" and "freedom" are more than just the tools of coercive politicians and free-market economists. Democracy means co-operation, understanding, and consensus. Freedom is the power to make it so.

Not sure if this is what you might have in mind. Just play with the wording and keep it simple.

On a sort of unrelated note, I'm going to print a shirt soon with the lyrics from Lennon's 'Gimme Some Truth' on the back. It's going to be fucking classic.

Im sick and tired of hearing things
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocritics
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
Ive had enough of reading things
By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth

Im sick to death of seeing things
From tight-lipped, condescending, mamas little chauvinists
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth now

Ive had enough of watching scenes
Of schizophrenic, ego-centric, paranoiac, prima-donnas
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth

Probably won't include all of it, and may include the chorus, but I think it's priceless.

I recently made a shirt w/ 'for all your anti authoritaryan needs' on the front, a red anarchist A on the side, and 'IED squad' on the back. All stenciled. Eye grabber. I later added a skull and crossbones on the left sleeve saying 'choose your poison' and 'our passion for freedom is stronger than your prisons' around the back of the neck. I just drew the last two on though. Kickass!

The closest you're going to get is Che shirts sewn in Indonesia. Honestly, stencil the clothes you've got, go to second hand stores, buy more clothes, stencil them.

Fuckin' beats shopping.

I love that image. Though, I must admit, the "A" is a little oddly shaped.

the A is fine stop whining people, or continue whining, but fix it. I like fat As.

That's my second favorite A circle logo. My favorite is the one with the fist and arm replacing one of the A's legs. I also like the Anarcho-Communism logo, it's supposed to be unity between communists and anarchists in my mind, but RAAN fucked it all up using it to attack communist bookstores, so it bothers me. Sorta like the swatsika being a hindu peace symbol except to a far lesser extreme
