Urban mythology strikes again.
Inspite of all the media hype, there has never been even ONE verifible case of "satanism" in modern times.
But it IS the sort of thing that capitalists can use to distract some gullible folks from focusing on their REAL enemies. Aliens in UFOs is another example.
We live in weird times.

I believe that Moslems express their weird expression to the communists by saying that I am a Satanist. I guess they believe that the RED flag is meant for the devil. But I think the invasion of CCCP into Afghanistan rings a bell a little.
But little do they know that the RED flag is meant for the PROLETARIAT.

Satanism has its origins in the Spanish Inquisition. God had lost his good name somehow.

Isn't Satanism a bad thing? I thought that they beleive that pain and suffering is good. I admit, I don't know much about it. I agree with what redstar said, the real enemies are the capitalist.
After we defeat the capitalist, then we can deal with the satanist.

Satanism -- Just Another Religion.
Opium for the masses?
Nah. Mostly, a bunch of teenagers who think it's fun to vandalize cemeteries.
A threat?
Well, said teenagers might be scandalizing people with red flags and Che badges instead . . .;)

GR,
could you please or somebody else provide us an explanation for satanism and what it involves and why people would want to worship in Christian belief the epitome of evil and the person that seeks death and destruction?

By definition 'Satanism' is the complete opposite of Christianity. Of course this does not apply to all 'Satanists', but that is there main goal. The 'Satanists' I have seen (not met), seem rather normal to me, though their appearance sometimes makes me think of a 'neo-nazi'. This reference is to a couple of priests I saw once, but they spoke gently. 'The Church of Satan' was the name of their place of worship (or religion?), but this was on a documentary and did include some strange rumours about them. Lastly, from what I know 'Satanists' rarely make public appearances, mainly lying low, but do come out every so often.

That is an interesting article Peace. I like this Quote:
"Nothing resists. Nothing can resist the force that drags man into conflict.
Thus it is worked out from maggots unto man the universal law of the violent destruction of living beings. The whole Earth continually steeped in blood is nothing but an immense altar on which every living thing must be sacrificed without end. Without constraint. Without remorse. Until the consummation of the world, the extinction of evil and the death of death."
Not a very "happy" way of looking at life, though it is much more realistic than most religions. Judging from that article, Satanist seem to be harmless...unless they try and kill everyone.

Thank you Peacenicked, I always thought that 'Satanism' wasn't as bad as people claimed, but never had seen great enough evidence. But by no means am I going to join, it just has some interesting concepts, much like other religions. Actually, this site still sticks by the definition of being opposite to Christianity, but it is just that certain opposites have more emphasis then others.

I'm glad that DKanarchy who seems highly intelligent from my perspective could enlight us all about how "ant-satanism" is a waste of time. Only here could he not be ridiculed for listening to his jello biafra bullshit and posting a retarded thread like this and only here could it somehow become "yes but the capitalists are the first enemies." I hate you all and I hope you die.

To me Satanism seems like a waste of time, almost as much as anti-Satanism. It's just teenagers trying to assert their identity by trying to be different. It's just the opposite of Christianity, after all to worship something described in the bible(satan), you must believe in the teachings of the bible. Just distracts Americans from their crap-system and other inhumanities caused by the American government. All-around it's crap!!
