I recently realized that I want to become a physicist, but I had a question. If i devote most of my college life to it, will I find work for it after i leave college? What does one do, besides teach physics? And i know the obvious answer is "work as a physicist" but where? how?

Well, there is a guaranteed job as an engineer. Usually it's working with someone like Intel or AMD dealing with solid state physics.

It's supposed to be "good pay", but I don't know.

You could go on and get your Ph., D. then go off into academia.

Ask your college consular, s/he must have some idea, or ask the physics department.

but where? how?
Research at various institutions like CERN for example.

Also, check out this thread in this physics forum:

thanks a lot, guys. it seems like a field where there is a lot to be done, and i would be making my living furthering humanity (unless of course the US fucks it up to their advantage [and they would]) instead of harming it
